I'm the one wearing the Real Madrid jersey. I have a lot of Italian friends so I lent my support for the day :D
What the picture doesn't show is the caravan of cars that we were with. There was 30 cars going through downtown Victoria and we must have went through half a tank of gas hahaha. Well worth it though.
are you the one on the left middle or right>?
telling me you are wearing a real jersey, doesn't tell me much!:tongue2

Which authority? the fact that Mr Cosmic was the first one who called us ridiculous, and assuming we were frenh fans, called us "ing losers". Here is a tip for you: If you are going to defend someone, make sure you get the whole story. It's just somewhat of a heated argument, no need to call the internet police because someone said something bad to a "TOTA" lol!.
Out of curiousity what do you mean by "insulting a TOTA" lol, is being a TOTA some kind of priesthood or being one automatically give you some saint status that one needs authority to have an arguably tough argument with a TOTA? lol. Judging by his posts, cosmic seems like a straight up boy and I'm sure he isn't offended that easily but if he was, my apologies.

Since some of you hate the Italian players or how Italians play then you better start hating your beloved Zidane too because he played for 5 years with the Italian Team Juventus.
I'm sure most people knew he played for Juve. But so what if he played for Juve? So have hundreds of other players, italians and non-italians, most which do not fall under the category of cheaters and some that do. Playing for an italian club means jack all. I'm not sure you even have a point here, aside from throwing random facts. Nice try though.

This headbutt was not the first time he's had an Altercation with another player.
Why do people keep on repeating this? Repeating an acknowledged fact which has already been stated numerous times (even by myself) does nothing for your argument.
Finally, you have yet to answer my question. Do you consider calling the Italian Football team a bunch of divers, racism? lol
sorry, dont want to drag this argument but it just ticks me off that you come out of nowhere and act all high in the name of TOTAs lol..

Yeah, I don't know why Pat felt that I was in some way offended with your posts. Since my German boys were out, I really didn't care for who won between France and Italy. Besides, it takes A LOT to offend me, and when it happens, i'm perfectly capable of defending myself, anyhoo.
My point was, if you're gonna dig up Materazzi's history, you might as well dig up Zidane's, and Zidane is no angel himself. He's not dirty, but he's no angel either. Looking at this incident alone (which is what we should be only doing anyway), they both came out about even in the end. Just looking at the way Zidane took that shoulder injury, it was clear that the man has big cojones, and any man with big balls would have done the exact same thing Zidane did when provoked. I'm not excusing either players, and i'm not blaming either player either. As I said, they both came out about even in the end, and the fault lies with both.

Interesting if true:
"Zissou is the son of Algerian immigrants who has sparred verbally with Europe's far-right political machine for more than a decade. He is an outspoken anti-racist on a team that has defined itself by its multiculturalism and stubborn insistence to stand up against bigotry both inside and outside the sport.
Materazzi on the other hand, will be playing this year for the Italian team Lazio, where his father was the former coach. Lazio's fan club, The Ultras, are notorious for their Fascist-friendly politics. Lazio's hardcore Ultras, known as the "Irriducibili," have members in Italy's extra-parliamentary far right and try to use the club to recruit. The group has frequently uses racist and anti-Semitic banners, one time hanging a 50-foot banner that said their opponents were a "team of (insert n word here)."
It's wrong to taint Materazzi for the actions of Lazio's fans, but there is more. Earlier this season in a match that pitted Messina against Inter in Sicily, Messina's star African player Marc Zoro famously picked up the ball and walked off the pitch in protest of the monkey chants rained upon him by Inter supporters.
In a stirring act of solidarity, many of the Inter players immediately showed support for Zoro's actions. But one opponent yelled, "Stop that, Zoro, you're just trying to make a name for yourself." That opponent's name was Marco Materazzi."
Yup. Racism in some of the Euopean leagues is a major problem. I saw this a while ago which talks about some of the stuff in that article (specially the problem in the Italian and Spanish leagues):

Uh yeah, +1. B4k-oz, don't come out guns blazing if you haven't read the full post please, you just end up looking dumb.
And as for that whole "how dare you insult a TOTA" thing... HAHAHA might i remind you that weema IS a TOTA? Just because he hasn't been here as long as you doesn't mean you have any authority over him. Jesus. I've been here longer than Cosmic boy and you don't see me saying "HOW DARE YOU insult ME?! A TOTA! Who has been here longer than you!" Let's cut the crap here please.
As for the racism allegations, loconet found the vid i was going to talk about, didn't know it was online. We saw this on sportsnet right before the world cup, a documentary about racism in football. 2 most racist countries? Italy and Spain. Ta-da! Now pull the racist card again please! Let's not be hypocrites hmmm?
It is the question on every football fan's lips. What did the Italian footballer say to prompt Zinedine Zidane's shocking headbutt in the closing moments of Sunday's World Cup final?
The answer, it has emerged, was a vile stream of racial and personal abuse.
First Marco Matterazzi called the French star the Italian equivalent of 'n*****', and then insulted both his mother and his Muslim background by saying he is the 'son of a terrorist whore.
More rumors hahah! but damn, if it was true I can't blame Zidane. If I were in Zidane's place, I would have had to have superhuman strenght to let it go and not turn around and break that bastard's face. I'm sure Zidane has heard his share of trash talking and maybe should have acted better but with all the stress of being in a final, injured, possible history between the two, etc, it's only human to snap, sad nonetheless.
