he doesn't do jack the entire game, doesn't even lift himself off the ground when going for headers which is the only reason he's on that team. beckham virtually put it off his head, crouch didn't even have to step into it.

he's by far one of the dumbest players i've seen in soccer, has no vision for the game.

agree, they shouldnt have subed off Owen, crouch should have been the one to go off

I'm quite familiar with the rule known as OFF SIDE, thanks.

I never said it SHOULD HAVE counted. Because that would be against the rules. I said TOO BAD it didn't.

^^ can't say spain played amazing. a combination of that stupid red card + ukraine missing chances and a few fluke goals lead to this score. see ukraine come off firing on all cylenders in the first two minutes of the second half, trying to get back into the game but then the stupid ing ref made one of the worst calls i've seen in soccer in a while now. wtf was that?? vashchuk didn't even touch torres after he held on to his shorts way outside the box for a second. then he let go, torres went into the box, missed his chance, took a funny dive and not only the ref gives a penalty shot but also a red card. it is clear that the refs were asked to be more cautious about penalty shot calls. never mind that, the player must be clearly brought down whereas vashchuk wasn't even in contact with torres after they both entered the box. definately in top 10 worst calls i've seen in watching soccer in my life! took out everything out of ukraine.

spain can celebrate, they can demolish saudis and tunisia all they want, but the fact is when they end up playing a top world notch team in the playoff round, they are done! they couldn't qualify for the world cup as #1 team in their group, losing to serbia & montenegro @ home when it mattered, got lucky in a playoff to draw slovakia, got the easiest group in the world cup, now will face an easy team in the next round in most likely switzerland or maybe south korea. how easy is the road to world cup suppose to get for them? but the quarterfinals is as far as spain will go. they have too many overrated players such as torres, juaquim, pablo, and especially ramos, the biggest idiot of them all.

p.s. by the way, y is rebrov on the team?? it's like taking theo fleury back on team canada. alcoholics shouldn't be allowed, hence he had that chance that i could have put away late in the game but apparently he saw the net somewhere in the sky!

SIT DOWN!

Your analysis is beyond reason.

The only place the Ukraine are going is HOME. They are a one man show and that isn't good enough on a sub par team.

Me 2. That would be way too early to go out 1-0 or worse a shoot out with 16 teams still left!

Dude once UKR advances after beating the Saudis and Tunisia then Spain will be the last of their worries.
Like I said before, Who did Spain pay off to get in that group?

Argentina playing a solid game. 3-0 so far just before the end of the 1st half. That second goal had 24 passes, beautiful team work. Goal of the tournament for me so far, classic South American goal.

edit:

6-0 and still 3 mins left. This is a lesson in football. Serbia & Montenegro should go home now. Argentina is in the final for sure. they are the best team so far. WOW

Unbelievable, there was still a minute left and S&M gave up, they just stood around watching Argentina pass the ball around. Insane game.

Truly... near the end it was like they were just trying to kill time, but still couldn't help but score..
