But yes, I do realize there are people such as my sister who have never followed nor played football, yet had a Brazilian flag on her car until last Saturday then took it down and added a "Go Portugal" message on her msn, which has now been replaced by a "Go Italy!", meanwhile not being able to name more than one player from any of those teams, hell she hasn't even watched a single match lol

LMAO... that is funny. And I bet you just shake your head and laugh. You gotta I know I would if it were my sister :p |

Haha you know it. I always get a laugh. I like to quiz her on which players scored goals considering she seems to update all her friends about how her team is the best through her MSN name - she always fails :p |

LOL..oh no no !! I knew they weren't going to beat Italy. I'm not Malek, I don't think like Malek, nor do I agree with some of the things Malek says. I am one of those people who Saw Germany lose, and has accepted it fully. Every 4 years we get a chance to win , so 2010, we'll try again, lol. I'm not bitter about it, or upset. Good luck to Italy and France ,that's all. |
Actually germany were the favorites going into the semi finals and italy were 3rd going by bookmaker odds. Germany played well but it wasnt right for them to win the tournament given the horrid form they had before the start. Obviously home advantage helped them a lot but the team is young with a lot of good talent and with proper nurturing, I think they'l do very well in South Africa but I hope im wrong.

In any case, just enjoy this beautiful sport and stop worrying about who is supporting who. The World Cup and events such as this don't happen often enough and worrying about silly things such as this only limits the time you spend enjoying the best sport in the world! :D |
AMEN TO THAT |

| quote: | England's Terry makes tournament All-Star squad
Chelsea defender John Terry is the only England player to make it into the World Cup squad of the tournament.
The 23 players, chosen by FIFA's technical study group, includes seven players from Italy and four from the other finalist France.
Terry makes it in even though most commentators believe central defensive partner Rio Ferdinand had a more impressive tournament.
Only one Brazilian makes it into the Mastercard all-star squad, Bayern Munich midfielder Ze Roberto.
Goalkeepers: Gianluigi Buffon (Italy), Jens Lehmann (Germany), Ricardo (Portugal).
Defenders: Roberto Ayala (Argentina), John Terry (England), Lilian Thuram (France), Philipp Lahm (Germany), Fabio Cannavaro (Italy), Gianluca Zambrotta (Italy), Ricardo Carvalho (Portugal).
Midfielders: Ze Roberto (Brazil), Patrick Vieira (France), Zinedine Zidane (France), Michael Ballack (Germany), Andrea Pirlo (Italy), Gennaro Gattuso (Italy), Luis Figo (Portugal), Maniche (Portugal).
Strikers: Hernan Crespo (Argentina), Thierry Henry (France), Miroslav Klose (Germany), Francesco Totti (Italy), Luca Toni (Italy). |

| i think Stephen Appiah of Ghana should be in the Dream Team instead of Ballack. im sorry but except for the instance where he played on despite injury against Argentina (the subs were all used...go figure), he's been pretty anonymous this tournamnet....unless you consider feigning injury and diving at the merest touch! |

He was a threat, and provided much needed offense for a team lacking in that area....but buckled against Italy... |
