sure sure, live in your own bubble, most here don't agree with your crap. |
ha, yah, I think you need to re-read some of the posts. Everyone knows you can't throw Brazil in the same pile of divers as other countries you are implying. Every single team will dive sooner or later but the problem is the frequency. The times I've seen Brazilian players dive are very few, Rivaldo's being one of them. It almost never happens and you know it.
lol, bro, don't be bitter. Germany will get its chance this time around ;) |

errrrrrm yea watching it again i dont think this is anywhere near as bad a call as some of u think it is!
anyways the aussies had their chance with that bs red card in the first half. they had an extra man for over a half and did all with it! |

Considering the ref had to call it from a fair distance away and in real-time |

the penalty was technically correct...it was not a blatant dive as some ppl r saying...the tackle left the italian player in an awkward position...either he tries to regain balance (had he not fallen he would have hit the defender with his leg) and risk losing the ball or fall and win the foul. he had initially evaded the tackle but the defender was lying in his way and he had to choose one of the above options.
stuff like that happens all across the field...not all fouls are given coz of 'actual' contact...most ppl anticipate the challenge and dive/fall to avoid injury to them and the other player or just to win a free-kick.
starsearcher:
the ref was signalling advantage to the italian after he had won the ball off the aussie right back through a tussle.
had the italian "swan-dived/fallen" then he wouldve had a free-kick outside the box but he took his chance. |

That was definitely a penalty; I hate it how some Football noobs think that wasn't a foul!!
If a defending player prevents an attacking player from getting the ball while the ball is in the attacking player's possession, it is a foul .It can be any sort of a body contact which blocks the attacking player. And since it was in the box, it’s a penalty.
If the defender hit the Italian player then it would be a red card since it'd be one-one, but because his tackle was clean the ref didn't show any cards.
Gutta say that was a very smart call from the ref. |

| quote: | 'Disabled' fans ejected for jumping
June 27 2006 at 09:43AM
Germany - Three Argentinian football fans were thrown out of their team's World Cup clash with Holland for pretending to be disabled.
The fans bought wheelchairs and then bought special cheap tickets reserved for disabled fans to get into the match.
But their ruse was discovered when one of the trio got carried away by the game and started jumping up and down.
One of the three, who gave his name as only Gustavo, said: "Our friend couldn't stop jumping and a person near us thought there was a miracle happening."
Another of the group, Claudio, added: "We are embarrassed by what we did, but we had no alternative. We did not have the money to pay for a ticket." - Ananova.com
