P.S. Totally Agree....penalty kicks are major STRESS!!!!

Well I think that the headbutt definitely ed up a lot of endorsement stuff for Zidane, however, he will still get a lot of fame because of it. Plus, he was the star player. I am still quite curious as to what triggered him off though...

LOL. What I find hilarious is that for once I am being defended for being on the receiving end of 'poor attitude'. Usually it's the other way around, lol.

Italy played Australia (which they cheated their way thru with a rare delicacy called diving), Ukraine (big big powerhouse) and with their toughest game was against Germany (Germany controlling the game while italy wasting time and cutting the tempo with fake injuries and dives), nonetheless a victory deserved for the Azzuri.

France kicked Spain, Portugal and lets not forget the champions and favorites Brazil with clear and decisive victories.

And on the finals, what do we witness, France owning Italy, completely, not even close. And the decisive actions come at the PKs, where the "best goalie" named Buffon, not a single time jumped in the right direction to try and stop the ball. Total fluke world cup win for Italy.

If France won in this total fluke fashion, it would have been somehow deserved because they kicked out 3 major teams in Spain, Portugal and the big favorites Brazil.

But Italy's win is simply just a win, and thats why we only hear about Zidane and the disgrace called Materazzi and not Italy's celebration and win which I might be affraid only the Italians are following and giving them any importance (while trying to forget the major match fixing and scandals that are currently happening there).

I just hope you itlians come back down on earth and wake up a bit...

All the people who bitterly say that Italy did not deserve to win are idiots. If they didn't deserve to win, they wouldn't have been in the finals. If they didn't deserve to win, they wouldn't have been in the semis. If they didn't deserve to win, they wouldn't have been in the quarterfinals. But they were. And they beat all the other teams coming up to the finals. Now you can bang your head against the wall and whine that all their opponents were weak, but all those opponents somehow made it to the finals, semis, and quarters, so that means they played well, unless you start stupidly arguing that Italy's opponents didn't deserve to be where they were either. In other words, nobody deserved to be where they were, it's all bull, this whole tournament was determined by the flipping of a coin, world cup sucks, fifa sucks, soccer sucks, blah blah blah.

You know who didn't deserve to win? France. You know why? Cause they couldn't score two goals to beat Italy.

Quit your whining.
