MLS don't have the physical style of EPL. So players like Dichio will be a handful to play against because they are much stronger. |

Well, pretty entertaining.
Toronto has a lot of ideas going forward, but lacking that final ball, esp in crosses. I think Dichio is giving Kansas defence all sort of fits with his strong presence and winning all sorts of headers. Need to keep feeding the ball to him so that he can flick it on to Eskandarian and Robinson who is running behind him.
Kansas is taking advantage of weakness at Toronto defence through the middle. Eddie Johnson really should have done better with his chances.
Def. seeing the team jelling better as the season goes on. The fans are just awesome so far
Second half has been more gritty. Toronto is getting exposed again at the back. Not good.
Andy Welsh IMO haven't had a good game. Decent runs, but heavy touches and poor crosses marred his game. I think he's still adjusting.
Kansas tried to control the game with their tempo and did it for a while, but Toronto is back again challenging for every ball.
And one defence lapse and Toronto is down 1-0 to Kansas hitman Eddie Johnson |

Tough loss
Toronto played their guts out but that expansion team weakness showed. Lack of final ball and being exposed on the back due to poor defence coordination killed them. Toronto desperately needs to invest in a good centerback because I think attackers and midfielders just need some time to learn about each other to get it down smooth, but defence coordination is bad.
Toronto also got away from feeding Dichio who won most of his challenges in the air and flicked on the balls which was about the only thing that worked consistently for Toronto, other than few runs on the flanks. Because Mo Johnston is a good Scottish lad who plays footy with balls and likes gritty hard challenges, other MLS teams are going to feel like they are getting mugged and Dichio with his height and strength will be typical of how Toronto will play.
Considering that Kansas had more clear cut chances, I think 1-0 score is just score.
PS: What was that singing at the 2nd half? Sounded like something from European stadium. Love it |

I agree with your post babe, apart from this;

I think that we were the better team, passionate, skillfull and, shockingly to me, well put together for a team that only received it's star last week!!
The crowd was beautiful and when the KC ******s had the audacity to come and celebrate at the supporters end, they got pelted with cups of piss. Beautiful. |

Oh I don't doubt the passion was there, but those ups at the defensive end was the difference that Kansas was take advantage one out what, 5 miscues.

LMAO. That'll teach them.
Just like back at home, Rachie? ;)
Seriously, I really wish I was at the game. The atmosphere seemed like something right out of Europe. I guess with a lot of European immigrants they know how to party at a footy game.
That'll be interesting to note as in MLS, only similar atmosphere might be at New York. Go to LA and it'll be like being at South American stadium. Was shocked at seeing all the billboards with Spanish on them. (Esp. the McDonald's one. Got a good laugh out of that) |

Funny you should say that.
What with the grey skies and crappy temperature, I could have been at home!
A couple of chants were wrong but I loved all the fans for trying and it was only minor things like right chant wrong tune - practice makes perfect.
The atmosphere was genuine to home and I was very proud to be singing 'Oh Canada' at the stadium.
All in all, a promising start to what will hopefully be a fun season. |

What? You don't want to sit with the fans that throw cups of piss at the visiting team? |
