Well, this Cunningham comes in with a pretty impressive resume

Apparently the media got hold of rumours of this thread through Facebook. LMAO

First point by Toronto FC on the road.

Didn't catch first 20 mins but both of Toronto FC goals were punishment from some sloppy defending... again.

Dichio goal was typical Toronto FC with a long ball to Dichio who flicks it to Cunningham who passes back to Dichio for a well placed shot on right corner of Columbus goal.

Second Toronto goal was pure world class freekick strike by Brennan. Wow.

Jeff Cunningham had 3 clear chances to put one in the back of the net but he failed to deliver. I think he is a good signing as he's very similar to Eskandarian, except he's got more pace and more vision to run at defenders and create chances for himself. Might take him a few games to get used to Toronto FC game, but that strike partnership of Dichio and Cunningham did well this game.

Not very happy about sloppy goals Toronto FC gave away but I'm content with a draw.

Yay another Toronto FC win.

First half was pretty much all Toronto FC as Colorado defence played like first 4 games of Toronto. 9 shots on goal and Colorado keeper was the man of the match making some huge saves.

Marvell Wynne does one crazy run per game and his run was absolute pwnage of Colorado defence as he dribbles past like 3 defenders for easy Dichio tap in.

Boyens gets his first goal off of a sloppy set piece defending by Colorado. He was wide open.

Colorado put up more of a fight after they scored off a counterattack which was more sloppy defending on Toronto's part.

2nd half was very scrappy as the heat took its toll and both teams played more conservatively. I dunno why Goldthwaite got sent off.

That Dichio backheel for Obrien chance was pretty sweet

I'm really liking Cunningham's pace up front. He sees the field well and moves into channels and his pace throws defenders off. He is going to be a key player for Toronto, once he puts one in the net and gets his confidence going.

Toronto was missing Sutton and Robinson due to international call up but didn't miss them. Pozniak in the middle filled in well for Robinson.

Overall a good win for Toronto

Great game to watch for sure and by the heat experienced just sitting in the seats I couldn't imagine playing in it, there was no air moving in that stadium at all! Cunningham was amazing and is he fast. The ref took like 7-8 minutes to blow the final whistle, f'in wanker........

The refereeing in that game was unprofessional at best and ing downright cheating at worst. Major League Soccer are going to have to be really careful from hereonin as every match I have been to has had at least one match-affecting questionable call. If they are wanting to have a league that is even considered by European football as semi-pro, they need to watch their official staff. More importantly than that though, the fans are getting heartily pissed off and as the noticable 12th man, that would be fatal.

Other than that, I continue to marvel at my boys, they play attractive, smile-inducing football with grace and technical prowess that I for one didn't think we would see until next year - Mo is doing a grand job in my opinion and save for some blips, I am dead impressed.

really liking Marvell Wynne's play.. we should be gettin Robinson back now that Wales are out

would have loved to hav caught this game live.. also agree with the reffing remarks.. lots of fouls being called on mild grazes and the like, wtf..

That was my third home game. These are really something to experience live !!!! The energy is phenominal every game.
After half time, I was approached by over a dozen fans still looking to buy tickets. The fan support is ridiculous for an expansion team with no history. Great to see the boys win again .

I agree that the officials may one day be in danger. I heard some serious sounding threats while watching from the beer garden. I hope they were fueled by liquid courage and not legitimate. (I really don't want hear the words 'Torontonians' and 'Hooligans' in the same sentance)

Felt soooo bad for the dudes walking around selling cans of beer. Such discipline to not crack a cold one in that heat.

*How do thes folks get in/ and away with throwing flares on the field ????!!!????*

And not enough legit fouls called in Toronto's favour. Dichio got mugged a few times no call. Cunningham got tripped up just outside the box and no call.

QPR midfielder Marc Bircham had tryout with Toronto FC.

29yr old Bircham comes with a decent resume having played for Queen's Park Rangers for many years in English Championship, and also having played for Canada internationally, though never lived in Canada.

If he does get signed, should add more depth to midfield.

Looking forward to tomorrow's game against NY. Should be interesting to see if Toronto's defence can handle Juan Pablo Angel who has 4 goals already.
