| I ended up going with one of my buddies to the U20 Game last night. First time at BMO field and I was very impressed. Good atmosphere all around, will definetely be going back. In respect to the game, I think Canada stood their ground really well, their defensive line is quite impressive considering at this level the attitude is attack, attack, attack. |

i thought canada is whack, and except for a few players they would have been lunch meat to the argentinians. Especially canada's keeper. The guy was horrible, half the time he didnt know where he was in his net. Argentina looked like they had the ability to dismantle canada and make it a huge blow out but held back. But at least we could make 5 passes in a row which is more then our senior team can say. #14 on canada used to go to highschool with my gf. working on her getting me some more free tix :P
btw rach were u wearing a beige outfit? |

yeah i watched it on tv, was surprised to see how well toronto did against Chicago, who are #1 in the league i think
looked like it would have been a ton of fun to be there.... tried to buy tickets the other week but they basically only have single tickets available for the rest of the season, and they were lik $48 too
they should expand the stadium, so it fits like 25,000 or 30,000, because there is obviously a ton of demand for tickets |

what a great game, save that one little blunder on the set pieces marking during that Chicago corner.. other than that, superb match!
i thought those discs were toilet seat covers for a moment ! lol..
trying to get some game tix is becoming increasingly harder.. lots of games are apparently sold out! Hopefully they can add a few more stands in the next couple of years..

| Congrats on your win, the atmosphere looks amazing in Toronto....glad to see soccer doing so well in Canada...hopefully Vancouver will get an MLS team soon (likely as we are building a new stadium) and we can have Toronto v. Vancouver...... |

| quote: | Coach Johnston said he loved the site of fans pelting the field with cushions, but did admit one hit him in the head in the game's final moments.
"I thought the fans were tremendous, the atmosphere was like a cup final. Teams from the U.S. aren't going to want to come in here and play us," said Johnston.
|
| quote: | Dichio added: "That rivals any English ground. I say that sincerely because I've asked some of the American guys who've played in the MLS and they said you won't get that anywhere else in this league, this kind of atmosphere and this intimidation. So that is a big, big plus for us."

Looks like I missed a good game :(
Highlights did show that 2 weeks of hard practice paid off...
Dichio is going to make himself very unpopular with the goalies in the league. LOL |
