Watched the game again on MLS site (worth 20 bucks to get full season of all MLS games on archive) and that was a blatant penalty not given by the ref.

If Barrett was that good, he wouldn't be playing in MLS ;)
He does everything pretty well, and has tremendous work rate compared to *coughcunninghamcough* so I'll give Barrett more chance.
Plus he's only 23 so he can still learn a lot of the game.
Gotta love the 4-3-3 with Vitti, Dichio and Barrett up front

Great game. Best defensive effort I've seen thusfar.
Vitti impressed me once again. Keep that guy in the starting 11.
The lads up front need to support when on the attack. It was frustrating to see an offensive mounting, but then have a red shirt surrounded by defenders because he has no outlets.
Dichio really, actually, really ran last night. He must be tired this morning :p
There was a lack of drummers, which made sure that the chants were all over the place. Ah well, what do you expect for a weekday game ;) |

All around good effort, Dichio hustled like ive never seen him before, and i thought Vitti made a huge impact on that game.
I agree that we need to start attacking with more support from the back, and hopefully we'll give the boys up front more options this weekend, but overall a solid performance against a top team and something to build upon.
Anyone notice those two s in section 110 that lit off the flares? What a couple of dumb asses. I look over and their tryin to put them out but obviously thats not gonna happen, then all of a sudden one launches his onto the field, and the other flies right over us in 113 and lands somewhere in 115 and apparently a girl got burned? Thank god security caught up with them and I'm told police are pressing charges. I'm all for flares at away games when coordinated properly, but at home its always bad news, worst case scenario someone gets burned and best case the field melts......morons. |
