It's one of the most complicated rules yes, but it's a shame that MLS is so behind in understanding it (then again, Pique had the clearest handball of the year not called on wednesday, so maybe the world has just gone mad). Sure, he must be more disciplined, but that is not a worthy call.

I dunno. Your arm is flailing around in the box and ball hits it, it's going to be a penalty 3 out of 4 times IMO. It may be a bit harsh decision, but also take into account that a DC player could have gotten a shot on goal if Wynne didn't handle it the ref took into account.
I've seen same handball given in EPL or other top leagues too.

About the team effort, you can critisize them all you want on the second goal as it was sloppy defending to an extent. On the other hand, there seemed to be an extremely high humidity factor and you could see the players just wanted to hang on for dear life. It's easy to talk here, it's another when your body has no liquid's in them after 10 mins with 35 more to go. You got to also keep in mind that RFK stadium is one of the hardest stadiums to win at be it vs. DC United or the US National Squad. I think for the better part of the game, TFC was the superior team and like you said, def feels like a (sour) loss of 2 points.

I dont think TFC was dominant at all. First half was all DC. TFC was the better team in 2nd half, but went back into bunker mentality after taking the leads. You can just see that the goals were coming.

Again, something is up with TFC defence esp away giving up late game goals.

Great game last night, bad outcome. The ball has it in for Wynne's hand this season in the box.

I think TFC played a good game beyond the 35 minute mark, they got really tired and played shotty D the last twelve minutes.

Glad we got a point at RFK Stadium but we shoulda had three. Intense game to watch though, we need a home game that exciting!

See you all Wed!
LightsOut
The handball was just an unlucky call, and even though the overall refereeing was atrocious as usual, the fact of the matter is Wynne's hands were raised and away from his body when the ball hit, most of the time thats going to get called regardless of league....and the rule is a lot more complex then just hand to ball and vice versa.

The offense known as “handling the ball” involves deliberate contact with the ball by a player’s hand or arm
(including fingertips, or outer shoulder). “Deliberate contact” means that the player could have avoided the touch
but chose not to, that the player’s arms were not in a normal playing position at the time, or that the player
deliberately continued an initially accidental contact for the purpose of gaining an unfair advantage. Moving hands
or arms instinctively to protect the body when suddenly faced with a fast approaching ball does not constitute
deliberate contact unless there is subsequent action to direct the ball once contact is made. Likewise, placing hands
or arms to protect the body at a free kick or similar restart is not likely to produce an infringement unless there is
subsequent action to direct or control the ball. The fact that a player may benefit from the ball contacting the hand
does not transform the otherwise accidental event into an infringement [emphasis added]. A player infringes the Law
regarding handling the ball even if direct contact is avoided by holding something in the hand (clothing, shinguard,
etc.).

At the end of the day a point on the road is a good result...but I'll be looking at it as 2 points lost instead of 1 gained.
