Unfortunately for us their is a salary cap, around 2.3 million USD? but its almost like a soft cap as different factors allow it to fluctuate for each team....which still doesnt do us any favors :(

In case you hadn't noticed, Jason :P, Frei has now grown a place in my heart. Sure I am sad for Sutton to go but after Vancouver, perhaps his passion has died a bit and to be honest, fresh blood in our side has GOT to be a good thing.

Frei has a Swiss passport and if he plays like way he is now, he'll be gone in like 2 yrs.

Having said that, I love Sutton, but he has a 150k salary and that is a bit too much for back up.

Nick Garcia is a nice pick up though. One of better defenders in MLS (just slightly below Marshall, Conrad, Boswell level)

the MLS salary cap system has received a lot of criticism over the years as well. I guess when half your league is based in small soccer markets it's a tough position to try and make everything work.

even with a low salary cap, only 3! teams had a positive revenue.

take that for what it's worth

don't find that suprising to say the least.. i wonder how much TFC made (or lost) in its first 3 seasons

It appears BMO Field could have real grass as early as next year. The issue is going infront of the city this fall.

Also just heard that Real Madrid is contractually obligated to play their star players for a minimum of 45 minutes....this includes KAKA and Ronaldo

3 points by beating up on the e Bulls! not the prettiest of games, but it's still good times!

good result yesterday, one that we needed and that we should have expected.

Dichio is god. Still rough at the back. Some nice one-touch play linking the midfield and attackers though, nice to finally see. Again we're at finishing, Vitti needs to break out soon or I can't see him staying on next year.

Nice to see Gerba in the MLSE box last night, deal should go through soon if its not already done.

113 brought the noise like usual, in fact the whole southend was in fine form, nice vids from 111 Yohan :)
