Hello hello hello
I went to the Fox and Fiddle last night to meet Mo... great guy, lives near me actually... and was convinced to get a season ticket (promise of exclusive parties etc etc etc)
So, I called my rep this morning and he has a group of 8 seats that he will hold until the end of the day. If you want to sit near a few of us or indeed with us, let me know and I will give you the guys contact details and the seat numbers.
$200 is the cost. |

Well, it looks like Toronto FC picked up few defenders with European experience.
Rest of the squad doesn't look so bad right now (in terms of MLS)
Wonder who they'll pick up for a decent goalkeeper |

Wow oh no Chris and Mark are gonna lead that team to glory lol
Their roster looks very weak so far. They should offer more money to Mr.Hutchinson playing in Copenhagen now or bring back Julian to Canada. They singed all these older players without any system, how are they suppose to gel together when they haven't played together at all during any point of their careers. Cept for Reda and Pozniak who played for the Lynx, all the other guys are just random players from the MLS clubs who let them go because they didn't want to keep that trash. I'm sorry but so far Toronto FC isn't looking so good at all. They have money, why not sign a few older players from Europe to attract the crown in T-dot. Guys like Davor Suker, Hristo Stoichkov or Hagi. Sign them up to a one way contract for one year, i bet that will attract a lot more fans! Otherwise what's the point of paying money to see players that are just as good as top players in the CPSL. I'd rather go see an intense match in the CPSL that include future stars like Atiba Hutchinson and Julian De Guzman, than a one sided affair when Toronto FC takes on Los Angeles Galaxy.
sorry for being a little negative, i just used to play provincial soccer and I just don't like which direction Toronto FC is going already but i guess we'll just have to wait and see. |

Atiba Hutchinson with decent showing at CL this year might get picked up by a bigger European club soon. (just a gut feeling)
Julian de Guzman plays for Deportivo. Why would he want to come to MLS?
These players are what, 25? They still got at least 7 years of good football left before they consider coming to MLS. It's not good for their careers to come to MLS now. (no matter how much money is offered)
I can see Tomasz Radzinski playing for Toronto FC maybe in 2 years though.
Suker... Haven't heard of him ever since he was wanted by Croat army for conscription.
Stoichkov manages Bulgarian national team.
Hagi... Well, he's old :p
Bringing an old 'star' may be a boost, but maybe not what Mo Johnston wants to do with his squad.
Toronto is an expansion team. It will suck, until the squad plays the way Johnston wants them to.
The season hasn't even started yet :p |
