I tried getting tix for opener and Galaxy; no such luck. I'll try again on Monday. Otherwise, I'll probably get tickets for Houston???
Support Onstad and DeRosario.

Caught the first half...

Sounded like Toronto got dominated 2nd half, but first half, they showed a lot of promise with their attacking plays esp capitalizing on loose balls and set plays. Only good saves by the Chivas keeper kept Toronto off the scorebook. The boys were working hard though.

Defending def. needs work though. First goal was just lack of proper coordination by the defenders to pull an offside trap and ind. defending needs work.

Also, lack of movement off the ball. Seems players only moved when the ball got to them. Full backs rarely went forward to provide an overlap down the flanks.

Seems like Mo Johnston has them playing defending, then wait to counterattack. Though pull something like that, you need a good playmaker and I'm not sure if Brennan and Robinson can fill in those roles well.

Well, it's only the first match. :)

The quality of football was like watching English League One but at least it's proper football in Canada again.

In case anyone cares, Toronto FC got spanked 4-0 by NE Revolution...

Defence is very lacking.

MLS makes the worst schedules ever. 3 away games in a roll and another 4 in a roll at the end of the season.

Toronto also signed former Preston striker Danny Dichio. He hasn't featured much last 2 seasons for English Championship outfit Dichio, but he may provide that extra firepower up front.

Ah well. Expansion team. Can't ask for much, other than that they try hard every game

hopefully the fact that ticket sales are doing well will provide MLSE some incentive to slowly Chelseafy the squad :D
