It was so good, I had to buy a frozen box of those from a local deli.

Buying them from a local deli aint the same thing! :)

Listen, I'm sorry that I passed judgment on you, that was not my intent. This thread is getting out of control and its hard to keep track of every detail that's been mentioned. However while you are from Poland, and understand an eastern-european mentality, Poland and Balkans are two different things.

The point that I am getting at is that no matter how hard I try to make you understand the reasons behind an age old conflict, you already have a set of values that will simplify a situation in to a right and wrong category (its only human). It's impossible to explain to you why the Balkans are they way they are in a single thread, I'm from that area, I've spent my whole life trying to understand its complexities and I'm still learning.

Personally, I want to get you involved in understanding the issues that arise from these problems, but there seems to be this cross-cultural wall that we hit, time and time again. This results in frustration on both sides, you feel like I'm treating you like an idiot because you dont know everything that's happened in the last 500 years in the history of the Balkans, and I feel like you're judging a culture with foreign values that are insensitive to our history and culture.

This I suppose is no ones fault, I'm glad you got at least something out of this thread. I know this wasnt exactly a "few sentences" but this is the best way I could put it.

::edit::

i hope this makes sense, or maybe i've missed the issue completely lol

actually, you picked apart the issue very well.

i don't think it is right for anyone to tell anyone else they don't understand the issue because they didn't live through it.

i am not frustrated exactly. just disappointed. zokissima keeps on telling me that i don't understand, i just don't know, my opinion doesn't matter (neither does RJ's or EvilTree's). only his opinion matter is this case.

i get it loud and clear. Kosovo was part of Serbia, Albanians came in and started living there. so many in fact that they are the majority. they decide to take Kosovo as their own. Serbia is mad and so are the Serbian people. I UNDERSTAND THAT. i also understand that there is a lot of history between these countries and regions for thousands of years (i don't need to know the whole history in detail). there is lots of fighting and genocide even. it's a rough area of the world. scary. i wouldn't wish that kind of conflict on anyone.

i know that you are trying to learn the whole history, but i think a better way would be to take what you learn and try to find solutions to fixing it.

i started re-reading the whole thread and maybe other should too. there were attacks made when no one deserved it.

lol, and i don't think brushing off people, "they just don't undertstand", is a valid comment.

white muslims + fundamentalist islam = uh oh

I once seen a nasty movie called "Before the Rain", it was about some (fictitious?) conflict in Macedonia... they showed Muslim Albanian gangs there, and they really behaved like barbarians. The whole movie was grows and I didn't even bother to finish watching it. I have heard of good Albanians (for example, Mother Theresa was an Albanian), but those who are not good, those who choose to make their livelihood through criminal activities, are engaged in much organized crime, like drug-dealing (opium from the Near East), prostitution and illegal (forced) sex trade, weapons trade... just because the media doesn't talk about it or doesn't give it due attention doesn't mean it's not the case.
