well, one day i feel their will be a fight over resources of some kind between Canada and US and I hopefully will not be living by then.. One thing most people tend to forget.. Canada has the world's largest supply of fresh water!!... In the end every country will be fighting over fresh water and maybe air if the ozone continues to suffer!

i lived there 20 years. i've seen that you see in movies only. whole europe knows about al quaida training camps there but, somehow that information is not available here. i guarantee you 100% if this goes trough whole world will be slapping its forehead in less than 10 years, going "now we really ed the up". all information is free and available, look it up. oh, check out GORAZDEVAC. ever heard about it??? but im pretty sure you heard about ethnic cleansing of albanians there, right???

I'll be the first to say that I appreciate you trying to view this situation objectively. But objectivity in relation to equity, law, honor, 'the right thing to do' etc, rarely have anything in common. If you want facts, facts other than what is being presented in media, go read UN affidavits of what is going on in Kosovo, and what has been going on ever since the "US Intervention". There is a history to this part of the planet, a history specific to this issue, that goes back centuries, if not longer. Contestion between this started even before the Ottoman empire invaded it, and has continued since. I don't know if any of that past history has any relevance to you, but I'm just stating that there really is an enormously long story surrounding this. This history of injustice is what Serbians have been fighting against a long time for, and yet again the western world does nothing but spread misinformation and flat out lies.
Even if you disregard historical significance, which has an enormous part in this story, what can you really say about the bottom line, which is to say that a part of a sovereign nation, with infrastructure, society, everything, built under the strain of a certain self-ruling and self-governing people is now being taken away, by those functioning completely OUTSIDE of said law(s)?
As a general question, for those that have stated the idea of "SELF-DETERMINATION", hypothetically, what if British Columbia were to undergo an even larger influx of Asian immigrants over the next few years? What if they became the majority? What if, hypothetically again, in two generations they decided to declare independance...? |
