lol that was nothing close to my point... i posted after that im referring to the gov't rather than the avg person. i am not anti-semitic... u could say maybe anti-zionist and therez a big difference in those two terms. zionism is a political movement. i try to respect every religion for their beliefs. today the terms are so easilly mixed up in the media. if u r against the political movement, u r automatically assumed to be against the religion as well. thats like saying if ur against palestinians from having their own state, ur also against all muslims. my point was that the israili gov't wanted a religious state but have drifted from the religious roots in their morals.

And you are incorrect. The leaders of several countries, after World War II, wanted a place where Jews would be safe from persecution, but Israel was not established as a theocracy, never became a theocracy and never will be one. It is a secular state, and most citizens lead secular lives.
Your "irony" is a fabrication.
It is unfortunate that some extreme Zionists brand everyone who supports a Palestinian state as an anti-semite. It is also unfortunate that some people clearly have a problem with the idea of a "Jewish" state and hide behind the "anti-Zionist" label when confronted about it.

Oh yeah, walking out of a debate because the moderators made him follow the rules - real proud. What a hero.

you know what digi..just off..seriously..ur the biggest in downer....people have posted pro israeli stuff the last few days and i've said not one thing...and as soon as i post something you have to jump on it like a fat kid on a doughnut..
if you want to take the over simplified approach and see it as him being a wimp walking out of a debate than that's your choice..it was the end of the debate and all he was doing was asking for a few minutes...the president of israel had spoken for 25 minutes and the Turkish prime minister did not get the same opportunity....he has been the only middle eastern leader to have balls and speak out while the rest of the so called leaders play the diplomacy game....and yes, i have a ton of respect for him....
i'm not even going to get into it with you..cuz i really don't care about your opinions..but thanks for coming out and being a buzz kill once again...

All 'official' debates are ing retarded.
"Excuse me, you get 1 minute to discuss how you're going to fix world hunger, after that, your opponent here gets a 30 second retort."
Give me a ing break. You can't have a proper debate when right off the cuff, you're limiting said debate with a time-limit. If the Israeli guy got 25 minutes to shpiel out his rhetoric, then the Turkish PM should have been given at LEAST that much time to respond. At which point the Israeli guy should have been able to respond, at which point the Turkish dude should have been able to respond to the response, and so on. Until the conversation was done or both had said the same thing two or three times. Like an internet forum :D

Haha, that is exactly the point of having those rules. Just imagine if courts worked that way.

Seriously, cry me a ing river. I call people out when they post BS and you're no exception.
AFAIK, he didn't have his speech cut off, he just didn't seem to understand the very basic concept that rebuttals are supposed to be short and not introduce new information. You get your own speech for that. If you're going to take part in a public debate then it's probably a good idea to make sure you understand the rules first.

I wasn't aware that courts placed time-limits on a person's testimony. As far as I knew you had more than enough time to present your case, and the defense had as much time as they needed to cross-examine. Once you start running in circles, then sure, cut it off, but everyone should have enough time to present their case without being told they've run out of time.

you may not agree that what he did was honourable or noteworthy..BUT I DO....who the hell nominated you the thread police around here...??
you look at things in such a one dimensional way sometimes..i look at what happened at the debate as something much more profound....who the hell cares about time limits and debating rules..?
you may not agree with the things that people say on here but the worst thing about you is that you fundamentally have no respect for the rights of people to have their own views...you are the type of person that looks down on anyone that doesn't agree with your ideologies, theories, rhetoric..etc..
