You can get stronger (i.e. gain endurance, power) without needing to bulk up on muscle size. That's what I'm doing right now. I actually need to be just toning my body and losing weight because if I gain anymore muscle in my shoulders I'll need to shop at Big & Tall stores for sports jackets :nervous: |
Unfortunately, if you do it right, bulking up and getting ***noticeably*** stronger have an almost symbiotic relationship. I am speaking in the context of lifting significant weight which everyone does have limits due to (mostly) genetic inheritance. |

1)40Kg - 25 Reps
2)50Kg - 20 Reps
3)60Kg - 15 Reps
4)70Kg - 10 Reps
5)80Kg - 3 Reps
and that totall s me before i start on flies. |

Last time I lifted heavy I put up 220 pounds 3 times, but im in the process of getting back to where I was two years ago. I did a three month deployment to Saudi Arabia when I was in the service and all I did was lift 5 days a week. Back then, I was putting up 285 and I only weighed 175 pounds......not bad for a skinny d00d.:p |

so it just proves you can be extremely strong and not look it, i want to look big and strong and not actually be strong at all, which is way possible |

yeah ive been working on that rear head a lot hehe. Its twice the size it used to be lol. I wish I could get a shot of my lower back, but i have to click and then pose with my webcam and its like a.5 sec delay hehe.
For abs: I have an 8% body fat just no muscle. Will normal situps and such do it or should I try getting some huge weights and doing sets of 15 or something?
Whats the best exercise (or sets of exercises) for widening the back?
PS my glutes hurt! |

Nice improvement there orbax! If there are any tips I could give it would be to work on your pecs the most. That being said, I havn't lifted weigths since highschool(that's 3 years now), so don't listen to me:p
me as of around 4 months ago:

I've lost alot of definition since highschool, and I think I'm starting to look flabby:nervous: |
Looks like you definitely used to do arms but pecs and shoulders have deflated a bit :\
yeah, the worst part about not working out is that while size doesnt really change the muscle gets replaced with soft fatty tissues. So when you hit the gym and your arm size hasnt changed you can lift half the weight.
gives it that puffy look |

basically hehe.
My highest 1 rep max (i did max training for 2 months to get it hehe) was 300 on incline and 365 or something on incline machine.
then I realized I look like and that kind of training sucked so now my max is probably like 225 or something. Which is probably all ill ever need. |
