| It's cool that u guys workout, so do I, and am pretty big...but I think you have no life and are a if u start to pick at urself because u dont have a perfectly defined stomache or lose weight on purpose till the point where ur skinny and can see ur internal organs , thats not being ripped or getting jacked, thats being a freakin lady-boy...a , a real guy can have somewhat of a gut, drink beer, eat all he wants still woop ass and get all the he wants. Why someone would pay so much attention to detail is crazy, u must be obsessed and insecure that ur fat and no girl will like u...who does that? Girls like guys that are bigger rather than skinny from my expereience....skinny "toned" guys are panzies... :thepirate Workout but stop being a wank toss... with all these scientific caloric intake diets and , all u need is protein, and maintain a healthy dose of carbs to feed the energy. My uncle from Poland, doesnt go on no diet, doesnt mess around with any GMC wannabe crap, all the guy does is workout and eat meat..mostly chicken and is freakin massive, he can bench 440. Thats ripped, and thats a man. |

| Wow, maybe people just want to look good and not be fat. Its nice to see all your hard work pay off when you look in the mirror. And yes, chicks do like a guy with a six pack more than a guy with a gut. |

I think there's sort of a good point in his post though FF....but i might be reading into it a little bit. :p
One of my pet peeves is people who look past the health benefits of working out. People that are all consumed with achieving a certain look at any and all costs. I'll give two examples:
Steroid users - Isn't the point of working out to achieve a proper state of health? Then why use potentially deadly substances? I'm not judging but, I don't understand the reasoning.
Undereducated weight losers - These people just want to lose weight and look fit but, are going about it the wrong way. They are just beating themselves down with cardio and not eating at all and are probably hurting their body more than helping it. Again, forgoing the health benfits to achieve a certain look.
I dunno, did I read into his post too much?
/me thinks he did :happy2: :p |

Bruce Lee sure looks like a pansy then.
If I have some advice for you, it is to be like water.
If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup
If you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle
If you put water into a teapot, it becomes the teapot
Now water an flow
or it can Cryaaaaaaash
Be water my friend!
hehehe  |

hehehe yeah i know what you're saying man...but he doesn't have to start knocking on orbax because he wants to look lean.
the way i took it is that this guy is probably pretty strong...has some body fat to go with it...and he's ok with that. that's fine, but some of us would rather not have a gut...
it's all about what you're ideal view of yourself is. if i want to look a certain way...i'm going to work towards that...if he wants to look a certain way...he should work towards that too, but there isn't one way that is better than the other to that person. of course from an individuals point of view the better way is the one that they are doing...but it's impossible to remain unbiased when he takes the view point of us all being pussies.
of course the health attraction of weight lifting is important, at least to me, i want to live a long long life...but i don't think that there is anything wrong with wanting to enjoy that long life looking the way that i want to. i mean i get as much as anyone on these boards for the whole metro thing simply because i don't want to look like a slob all the time...and it doesn't bother me at all...because in my mind, just as in those that are so quick to judge, i'm correct.
i remember earlier in this thread or a different one...arbiter brought worth the same idea about overall fitness instead of just attractiveness...and he was atleast intelligent enough to see both viewpoints, just as i can see the benefits of what is being proposed...but that doesn't mean we're all a bunch of idiots because we want to look the way we want to look.
in the end...it's pretty pointless to type out like that because i really don't think it bothers anyone...we are gonna keep trying to achieve what we believe is the better option, so if people don't like it...they shouldn't read about it. if anything he must feel threatened by people like us to have such a viewpoint... |

Ok, it's time for me to post some pics.
After eating like SHAT and not hitting the gym regularly for the last two weeks, I'm going to use this pic posting as fuel to hit it hard for the next month.
I'll start taking creatine today and I'll post another set of pics in 30 days. Anyone else with me? |

update: ive lost 3 lbs in 3 days so far :)
I look forward to a set of pics when I get back. Itll be kind of funny to see everyone getting ripped and then me coming back fat and ill-defined. And by funny I mean sad.
My plan though is to take a comprehensive set of pics and get some critiques after I get back. I know pecs are gonna be the biggest thing for me to work on, but its always helpful when someone tell me my tricep is too small or wow, I need forearms. Stuff i normally dont pay attention to very much :p
oh hey, i have 5 days to blast my abs as hard as I can, who has a killer work out for them! |
