Yeah, sign me up for Europa, too. Be sure to bring your coat though. |
LOL good call on the coat. my bad, one of our servers at work is named europa. we have a moons of the solar system theme for the server names and i find myself accidentally typing europa instead of europe all the time out of habit because it's a server i type about a lot in email.

Daintree is ing gorgeous, and so is the barrier reef. Look into doing a 2-3 day boat cruise around the Whitsunday Islands as well, you'll never forget it. Whitehaven beach  |
google images showed some beautiful pictures for whitehaven beach, jesus it looks unreal |

The sand is like nothing I've experienced before. Pure white in colour, and it's supposed to be 99% silica sand - It's so unbelievably fine in texture it's like powder, you can barely feel the grains at all.
The guys that took us there recommended that no one take their cameras or electrical equipment onto the island, because with the slightest breeze, the sand is so fine it will get inside the tiny cracks in your and them up :wtf: |

it sounds amazing. after your reply i googled it and reach this article: http://velvetescape.com/2009/04/enc...itehaven-beach/
the pictures are ridiculous, they're so perfect that my first thought is that there was at least some camera or photoshop touchup magic, but that's just how it really is even the amateur photographs look professional cuz of the beauty of that beach. the description on that link made it sound even more incredible. needless to say i added it to the "great barrier reef" portion of the trip in our planner. thanks for telling me about whitehaven. as gorgeous as the pictures are, i'm pretty sure the pictures online don't really do it justice, that's how it usually is. |

Yeah, that's just how it looks, no photoshopping needed :p So beautiful. I've been up there a couple of times (I live in Brisbane, so it's not *too* far). Went from Airlie Beach both times.
Don't miss out on it, if possible. Like I said, you'll remember it forever. |

Its barely crept into the mid-20s here and I want to go to the beach too
Don't believe Stu either, anything south of NSW is either on fire or flooded and north only lies drunken bogans, spear chucking petrol sniffers and things that bite.
...oh and nothing is out west except certain death.
