so elections and , what's everyone thinking?
I'm seriously pretty pissed by the whole thing STILL... I know we don't elect leaders, but parties in aus, but look at what's happened since the leader's changed... Labor's gone right instead of 'forward' (whatever the that's meant to mean in the first place), and now (more than ever) are indistinguishable from the liberals...
The only good thing is that at least this time the greens and labor are paired, so hopefully family first won't get so much business this time since they're not leeching off people for stupid in-fighting reasons...
elections are always choosing the lesser of evils, but this time it just seems like we really can only choose between heinous evil, or gross evil, instead of the lesser types...
I really pray to tony abbot's god that he doesn't manage to get on top of the bogan ranga scrag though, cause at least she only LOOKS like a completely incompetent idiot.... unless i'm giving her too much credit...??

will end up voting for the hippies. it will leave a nasty taste in my mouth.

basically both parties suck, with a particular hatred for gillard. up to her neck in everything they now blame on rudd, builds monuments to herself, and is easily the slimiest person in aus politics.
was going to vote greens in the hope of neither major party having a majority in the senate, but greens have declared themselves part of labor now, so have to find some fringe party with a chance of getting a senate seat.
probably shooters party or something I have no interest in, but at least having independants/minor parties in the senate will stop any government being as pushy as howard was in his last term. anyone got hints on what minor parties are a chance of senate seats?

And the greens want to close down a whole bunch of mines including Olympic Dam and Ranger. Say goodbye to your economy right there.

if only the libs hadn't elected phoney tony. then i'd have someone to vote for. i liked malcolm.

I gotta vote early this year too, so I need to work out who is less-worse in the next week and a half:(
pkcRAISTLIN
you cant vote for tony. the guy is a conservative catholic, global warming denier, economics muppet (despite his BE).
Lilith
They're both equally awful like... local council duds level of awful, think I will probably vote independent just to throw a spanner in for what its worth (not much)
pkcRAISTLIN
yeah, the last time choices were this bad i just didn't vote at all (beazley & latham eras). but since now im enrolled (if at the wrong address) i spose i'll have to. democrats gone, most independents i hear about are far too right, so its the hippies for me. if only so they can vote down the internet filter.

I always liked the aussie dem's, its a real shame they just sort of imploded :(
