This has got nothing to do with my sense of patriotism (which is rather large), and everything to do with Americans embodying everything that's wrong with the world today, as well as perhaps a touch of anger at the insidious effect your television and world influence are having on such a vast proportion of the common denominator in this country.

I never understand when I meet Australians like this. I just don't get it. Not every Australian is like this, but I have met a few like you and I really don't get it. The stereotypes are really annoying and at times it is like there is some sort of inferiority complex. I'm American and sick of being blamed for the world's problems. /vent over.

But hating Americans is rather stupid for the most part.

Hicks and rednecks exist everywhere in the world and are equally useless as the American version.

This was mentioned the last time my "I hate Americans" seal broke, and none of you got it last time either. I'm not talking about red-necks, hicks or white-trash; you're right, every country has those in horrible proportions. I'm referring to your country as a whole, even the educated people (education doesn't generally teach decorum)

Ditto to this:

I'm not talking about the wholeIraq/Gulf/Vietnam/interfering in other countries' affairs thing - I think military intervention is good when required. I'm talking about your awful, career obsessed, fast food guzzling, classless, tasteless, humourless excuse for a society.

Okay, to be more specific, our culture and the people that live here. :p

Isn't Australia fatter than the USA now?

Isn't that why most people hate Americans? Because they are so fat?

Well it's a good thing you're from a country that has absolutely no stake in the rest of the world whatsoever, so your opinion is pretty much useless

I honestly think it is an inferiority complex that most other White countries have to the USA.

We all think we'd do a better job of being head honcho of the world, but the reality is that if we had all that power we'd be really fat and ignorant too.

Comes with being the best really.

-que is from French (or maybe Old English?). Either form is acceptable in Australian English, as with "connection" and "connexion".

I've never seen anyone spell it connexion ??

We also call "felt tipped pens" textas here btw (similar to calling tissues kleenex)
