I was actually at the supermarket last night shopping for our BBQ and almost bought a few kangaroo steaks, but I've never prepared it myself so didn't feel like stuffing around with it.
I know you're a vego but if you ate meat, you would love a properly served kangaroo steak. It's fantastic.

| yeah the ivy league ones are really mroe about name rather than anything else. i was going to apply to yale just to get a rejection letter with my name on it, but it wa sa $75 application fee. that. regular state schools are fine for education lol |

Its why for about the last 10 years one of Australia's biggest exports was education because overseas it really is just that dismal unless you come from a very wealthy family and have the connections to get into one of the good universities. Here, even the 'mediocre' universities will set people up well and it is highly regarded anywhere.
For a while when I was 'hirin n' fire-em' for a company I gave a couple of entry level positions to people with overseas degrees and they where about 75% complete idiots in their field. The resume looks ok and they may even seem ok, but there is no aptitude to the point I'd just hire local TAFE graduates with more or less the same line of education (just not to the higher level of uni) and they very rarely disappointed.
Was a real eye opener that's for sure! |
