What exactly is it that's been monopolized in this specific case, in your opinion? |

Lol yeah, how on earth could i possibly find news content without facebook’s feed?! You peanut. It is barely an inconvenience. But you don’t see this centrist sooking about the free market and pleading for big government intervention like a try-hard conservative. Trump’s loss must really be stinging :tongue2 |
Oi mate, aren't you in your 50s by now? Shouldn't you be playing with your grandchildren or knitting a sweater or something? Anything but wasting all your years on a dead board desperately looking for people to troll? I used to respect you back in the PDD days. Now I just think you're pathetic :haha: |

You literally haven't addressed any of my points, you just keep accusing me of saying things I haven't said? |

This post is simply in response to JEO, although I have to laugh whenever Lews "debates." Claims to not be defending Facebook yet his first reply towards me was this.

Facebook is not a monopoly? And 'Beijing Biden'? What nonsense have you been reading now? |
Sounds to me and everyone with a 4th grade reading comprehension that he was disagreeing with my comment and literally defending the tech giant.
And now, for the sources, which I don't even know why I'm bothering since you people are too dense to take them seriously, but fine.
Lews was asking who is accusing FB of being a monopoly. Why, the very British MP's in the country you live in, moron. You know more than them? Prove it.

This article is too long for me to quote, but it tells you about other countries who are also proposing regulations on FB. Gee, if they've done nothing wrong, why do world leaders want to regulate them?

Appealing to the authority of a Tory MP is always a good look.
The question was not "Are they a monopoly?" The question was "What exactly is it that's been monopolized in this specific case". Reading comprehension.
Can you try answering in your own words, Zharen? |

| Do I really have to spell it out for you guys? Are you all really that dense? Lol this is so ing pointless. I would say the flow and access to information is what is being controlled and monopolized by Big Tech. The Walk Away movement, which was started by a Democrat to push others to leave the DNC had their FB page removed without warning. Twitter and FB effectively killed the Hunter Biden story when it came to light that he smoked crack with a prostitute. Buried it until after the election was over. I don't know how else to explain to you people my stance here. But once FB gets charged with antitrust violations in the near future, I'll make sure to come back and laugh. |

Yes, you do. "Big Tech" refers to a number of extremely large and unconnected companies. So is Facebook the monopoly, or "Big Tech" in general? Because those are two radically different statements.
Does Facebook have the power to stop Internet users in Australia visiting news websites directly? Because if it doesn't, how can it be said to be monopolising "the flow and access to information", to use your words?
I think you do need to spell it out, because at the moment you've made hardly any points and thrown an awful lot of limp-wristed insults. |

| I think big tech, social media companies control information flow on their platforms out of necessity, and while probably, unfortunately, some people really are dependant on Facebook or Twitter providing them news, you can't really say FB or Twitter are monopolizing information flow, much less access to information. If you mean they are restricting, or even "censoring" certain topics on the platforms they own, you're right. Nothing's keeping them from doing it, just like nothing's keeping people from choosing different channels to communicate through, or getting their news from elsewhere. News sites, or even RSS feeds and readers for 's sake, haven't gone anywhere. There are many other platforms for people to share news, rumors, smear-campaign stuff, misinformation and disinformation on than just Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube. |

I can disagree with your statement about Facebook being a monopoly without defending Facebook's actions.

1. I didn't ask who is accusing Facebook of being a monopoly. Again, please read carefully. I know it's tough for you, but do try.
2. Not sure why you are calling me a moron when
2.1 I haven't called you any names and
2.2 You just continue to embarrass yourself with every post.
3. Are you trying to suggest that politicians are the smartest people in every country? Like, seriously, what is your argument here? An American member of the House of Representatives blamed fires on a Jewish space laser. You know more than her? Prove it.

The fact that people are calling for regulations rather implies that they have not done anything illegal with regards to the complaint? Otherwise, why would regulations be needed? |
