actually, i may be mis-informed. they're saying the $56/12Mbps would be the 7% of people who wouldnt get access to the NBN. serves me right for believing my Liberal mates (and the headlines).

You forgot to minus the $30 line rental you're currently paying.
I'm usually pro-Liberal but I'm completely against them when it comes to the NBN. They are running their mouths for no real gain.

Correct. You don't need a phone line for the NBN and considering most people have crazy cap plans on their mobiles, landlines are on their way out anyway.
