Adelaide is mostly like it was created by generations of ADD christian builders that just wandered from suburb to suburb and 'oh hey, lets make a church', wander around a bit more 'oh hey, lets make a church' and then kept doing it for 100 years.
On an Australian scale of 1-10, Adelaide is a bit around an 4... compared to a lot of other places in the world, in a really ass-backwards halfway to nowhere interesting, its actually not too bad! |

Oh at least a 7 because its nice and warm all the time, but it starts to lose points... -3 because its humid, makes my hair flat, then maybe another -2 because the people are sort of where other countries have a 'deep south' we have a 'deep north'.
Actually, Darwin is kind of the deep north really, but no one actually lives there so it doesn't really count. |

Lol at deep north :haha:
Brisbane's not too bad for the hick factor (half the ing population consists of Victorians now anyway), but the further you venture from the CBD, the worse it gets :p |

Yes I know, civilisation as I have said before is roughly between the airport and a $40 taxi ride through masses...morasses of people who don't know how to KEEP LEFT (stupid Victorians mostly towing caravans) and ends up around the Hilton at the mall.
When I was up there, (years ago now) teaching some of your local scrubbers how not to be a complete moron at sales they took me out to some pubs.
:nervous:
There would be a band playing music
There would be drunk people doing what drunk people doing, punching, rutting, vomiting, trying to dance... etc In the middle of this poor bands set the idiot some neanderthal bellows out "PLAY SOME 'KEN BARNSEY*!"
:haha: ...ahah.. ah get me out of here!\
*Ken Barnsey is very popular singer at clubs there, apparently, I dont know if they played his stuff. Things got punchy up the front and we left! |

Sounds about right. Indooroopilly is pretty much student-ville these days, as it's relatively close to UQ, and has a big cheap shopping centre there. |
