Well, yeah.

life "was not worth living without alcohol."

He does have a point :p

From people I know who've been to the NT. Its basically a place to transfer ethanol to humans or they'll wake up and realise that it's 36-44deg Celsius, full of flies, 80-99% humidity, abos are stealing all your petrol to sniff and there is NOTHING out there to do.

Yep :stongue:

I had a friend move up there, after her Masters degree, to work with the CSIRO. She lived there for 2 years, and constantly said "All they ever do is drink! Even for normal activities, you have a few drinks, then do whatever it is that needs doing".

Their normal working lunch was at the pub, with booze. Bosses included.

Australia, I'm disappoint. I was a big Julia fan. I liked her speech slagging Abbott off for being a misogynist. I don't even care if he really is, I just wanted to see her rip his head off.

Also, the Thai prime minister is the only person left in my "Heads of State whose naked pictures from 20 years ago I'd like to see" :(

It was a political party move, to get more people voting for the Labor party in the coming election. And it's caused a huge stir, right before it, so PUBLICITY, I guess.

I'd be highly surprised if the Labor gov gets voted back in, even with K-Rudd... and that makes me sad, because Tony Abbott is a ing idiot, and not someone I'd like to see running the country.

My $0.02.

(I'm not that big on politics though :p)

I'd vote Green before I'd vote for Tony Abbott.

I'm voting for these dudes. Australia needs this kind of crazy idealism.
