Does anyone else dream of Ken Griffey Jr. ever getting the chance to be on an AL club again??? I mean, he can't exert himself in CF, with his crappy hamstring, well his old legs and all.... dare I say it... I'd actually enjoy seeing Jr. DHing for the Yanks... I just miss the glory days when Jr. was the best player EVER... but the rumors say IF he's going anywhere, it's NYY, or ATL... of course, who's going to pay for his 12.5 mil..... pipe dream I suppose...

Miguel Cabrera is the also.... I hope he never wears the Yankee pinstripes....

I actually see Piazza being traded to an a.l. team to dh before Ken griffey jr.and yeah i miss watching him running down fly balls and hitting for power an d average and being able to steal bases....such a shame

The yankees...where are they now.

ALL-CASTOFF TEAM

A team of former Yankees prospects holds more promise than George Steinbrenner's current $206 million collection.

First base: Nick Johnson, Nationals. Sent to the Expos in the Javier Vazquez trade.

Second base: Alfonso Soriano, Rangers. Traded for Alex Rodriguez.

Shortstop: Joaquin Arias, Rangers. The player to be named in the Rodriguez trade, he's a highly regarded prospect at Class AA.

Third base: Mike Lowell, Marlins. Traded to the Marlins for three career minor league pitchers.

Catcher: Dioner Navarro, Dodgers. Currently at Class AAA, he was sent to the Diamondbacks in the Randy Johnson trade then flipped to the Dodgers for Shawn Green.

Right field: Juan Rivera, Angels. Part of the Vazquez deal.

Center field: Wily Mo Pena, Reds. Traded for third baseman Drew Henson, who now is a quarterback with the NFL's Cowboys.

Left field: Ricky Ledee, Dodgers. Traded to the Indians along with pitchers Jake Westbrook and Zach Day for outfielder David Justice.

Righthanded starter: Westbrook. Part of the Justice deal.

Lefthanded starter: Ted Lilly, Blue Jays. Traded to the A's in a three-team deal in which the Yankees acquired Jeff Weaver and the Tigers wound up with Jeremy Bonderman.

Righthanded reliever: Yhency Brazoban, Dodgers. Included with Weaver in a trade for Kevin Brown.

Lefthanded reliever: Damaso Marte, White Sox. Traded to the Pirates for infielder Enrique

Well, actually, Yankees are now all of a sudden on a roll. They won, like, their 8 or 9th straight game. They've been beating up badly on their opposition. I always expected them to come back - just like the last year's slow start. Watch my word - they'll win that division this year, as much as I'll hate that to happen.

Yep ... It's an amazing start to the season for D-Train (hehe, D Train is a name for a cool disco artist I like, hehe) it will be the toughest year yet for my Braves. Marlins are almost for sure set to make playoffs this year. Especially when my Braves' Kolb keeps blowing the saves ... f-cking terrible closer, I hate him ...

for all the great work Leo Mazzone did with the pitchers, why Kolb sucks is a big :conf: to me

He is the benchmark for guys who couldn't handle the pressure of new york...guy had what one error in 5 previous years with twins and then forgets how to throw to first base..but he was a great on base guy...Yanks also gave up tori Hunter and Cristian guzman in that trade

But will they keep rising before Kevin Browns arm turns to cream again

Knoblauch actually had a good year or two before he started to melt down. And he had some big hits that won championships too. Eric Milton is nothing special. Not the greatest trade though obviously overall...

Brown never has problems with his pitching arm except his hand when he's punching a wall. It's always his bad back and his two cent head. I couldn't hate anybody more than him! Jaret Wright isn't gonna help either. Trade talk about Roger Clemens down the road I think is ridiculous, not gonna happen.

Yanks 7 in a row with Big Unit pitching today.

It's gonna be a flat out war this year in the AL East. Baltimore isn't gonna go away and Boston will definitely be there too. I don't know about the Yanks... we'll see.

I think the White Sox are gonna fade with Minnesota winning it again. Seems kind of obvious to me but who knows....

and kolb is still sucking...wonder what happened to him :conf:

It's interesting to see if he can get back on top of his game...
