I think obviously Poo-Holes but I'd say a tie between him and David Ortiz. Barry Bonds used to be that guy, especially that juiced up world series year. Scary!

What about pitcher? For me, it's Mariano Rivera. I know he's blown a few ones but overall.. it's like Game Over when you hear "Enter Sandman." Maybe Curt Schilling as a starter but not anymore...

Actually, Bonds' 2004 was his best, most scary year, not '02. And it's undoubtedly the greatest Single-Season of all-time. His OBP without taking into account any hits, was .376. :eyes: ABs/HR: 8.3 (the best besides his 2001 when they actually pitched to him... sort of). And his Isolated Power was .450 (again, the best besdies 2001 when they were still pitching to him). His OPS in '04 was 1.421 which shattered his previous years. :p

As for who is the most scary hitter to face... It's gotta be Pujols or Ortiz. Manny is also up there.

Pitchers... I'd say Mariano, Gagne (but he didn't pitch this year, so who knows about next), & Johan.

I just mention the world series year because it was scary during the playoffs and world series. Remember those bombs he hit off K Rod that were like 100 mph? So I'm thinking scary in the most pressure packed moment of the world series. But 2004 was his better year and most feared over the long haul, agree with ya.

verndogs
yay..another historic WS

i hope it's a classic that goes to 7

I hope something awesome happens in this WS. Like a Complete Game. Or a 4 HR game. Or something awesome. A game 7 like the Mets-Angels game this year where the Mets were down 3-2 in the 9th and Marlon Ander hits an Inside-the-Park Homerun to tie it up... then Cliff hits a 3 run HR to win it in the 11th... that would be ing dope!
