| this is probably the best championship ive felt. the bulls were good but i think we all kind of knew that they were going to win and everyone was behind them. but this one, man everyone doubted us all year, some even had us finishing third of fourth in the division. 11-1 in the playoffs and beating the indians to get things going. this is just nuts. hats off to all the other teams because while we may have beaten them, they all gave us a run for our money. now its time to just sit back, relax, and enjoy the moment. |

What an exciting 2005 MLB season it was. Playoffs too. 8 teams one champion. 11 participants one winner. Congratulations DJ2kTA on winning this pool!!! I am about to send you the prize info in couple minutes.
Thanks to everyone who participated. It was a lot of fun for me and hopefully next year I'll get to do another one more fun and more exciting! Below are the final pool standings (unfortunately Verndogs was unlucky to receive 0 points in the World Series round out of a possible 31 points :eek:, and he finishes 3rd):

Congrats to the ChiSox! Good exciting games but boring series overall. Everyone hates sweeps unless it's your own team sweeping. Talk about anticlimatic world series in back-to-back years.
I can definitely see the Indians winning next year. That's my early bird special prediction. |

Congratulations to the World Champion White Sox..a long time you've been waiting but you finally snagged yourself a World Series Title.
Congrats also to the Houston Astros for finally making it to a World Series. Tough luck guys, but this world series belonged to the White Sox. Keep it up and you'll be back and ready to win next year.
So now both Boston and the White Sox have won the world series after a long drought. Is the tradition going to continue next year and see the Cubs win? |

they were a little young this year but they showed a lot of talent and they were the hottest team the second half of the year. the AL central will the toughest division with Minnesota, Detroit and Cleveland getting their younger players adjusted to the big leagues this year.

no. boston and chicago put together teams that could win. the cubs have a lot of holes to fill but the rumor is that they are after furcal which would plug a couple of those holes. wood and prior have to figure out how to play an entire year. |

cant really say much about this series though since i only saw game 1 cause of the Cane,I spent powerless nights just blurting out random WhiteSox players in history just for entertainment :wtf: :o
heard the final innings of game 4 on the radio.Ive always been a Konerko fan so Im glad he got his ring as for the Sox who I prefered over alot of teams as well... |
