| Strange that Kolb went from being an all star last year to blowing so many save opportunities...Btw what the hell has gotten into Jon Garland...he is 7-0 for the white sox |

Wow ... those White Sox are really on a roll. Everything seems to be going their way this season, pitching, batting and bullpen. So far my favourite pick to win the World Series this year. Never expected them to turn it around so much this season. And speaking of the World Series, what was the last time White Sox won it all? :nervous: |

| I have no faith in the yankees pitching..nice to see all the guys they got rid of at the end of the year having nice years |

Yeah but a lot of those guys are pitching in the National League, which I think is quite a bit easier. Plus, the pressures of NYC aren't for everyone. Weaver isn't having as good of a year as LY. Vasquez though has shown he can thrive in a smaller market. Halsey won't be that great but has done quite well so far. I wish the Yanks had Brazoban back though.
Moose is shutting down the A's again so far tonight. Coming in, he's only allowed 2 ER's in the last 18 innings so I hope he has found his old groove. But yeah, the A's really suck hitting wise so not a great comparison.
But looks like possible 6 in a row after tonight. |

Yeah, you're right. He is the biggest surprise to me of all the ex-yanks. He has wicked stuff but never seemed to have that mentality to buckle down when needed. But your comment reminded me of El Duque. He's really been pitching well and I think he influences Contreras in a good way.
Here's the ex-Yank pitching staff for 2005
SP - Andy Pettitte
SP - Javier Vasquez
SP - Orlando Hernandez
SP - Jose Contreras
SP - Brad Halsey
6th starter/Middle Relief - Jeff Weaver
Lef - Chris Hammond
RP - Jeff Nelson
RP - Bob Wickman
C - Yhancy Brazoban
Pretty solid pitching staff so far.... |

Yeah, he came up through the Yanks farm system and was with them his first few seasons many moons ago. He was always the guy who had a good sinker because the tips of his fingers were chopped off. |

im just as surpised at the white sox as everyone else and ive been a lifelong sox fan. it wasnt until about a week ago that we started getting top billing on the local news stations over the cubs. the pitching has been great but the hitting has been suspect. if things continue like this i could see us trying to get a hitter at the deadline (hopefully a power lefty).
i think the last time we won it all was 1917 followed by the scandal in 1919. |

| I am amazed that they are doing this without Frank Thomas.....man i think they are all scared of Ozzie Guillen...he has called alot of them out in the media several times and jeez the things he said about Magglio ordonez...wooo.Guess they knew what they were doing by trading lee for Podsednik...it is also nice to see That Mark Buehrle has some other good arms backing him up.All in all a good story so long as no more fans jump out of the crowd to beat up any elderly first base coaches |

So much for the Mulder Pedro pitching duel then. Still a cracking game and nice to see Miguel Cairo do his bit for his old team :)
Jason Isringhausen looks good despite walking two in the last, 8 saves out of 8 this year, the cards bullpen is doing its job this year yet again! |
