Maybe its because A's are missing Tim Hudson :toothless ;)

everyone's talking about the nationals, but what about those damn orioles .. making a difference right now .. winning those big games of course, but also losing the games they should win .. but what an offense they got ..

they got roberts, tejada, mora, palmeiro (*cough cough* roids *cough cough* .. no comment :wtf: ) sosa, lopez, surhoff, matos, and gibbons .. just got to fix their pitching, and give sidney ponson some confidence .. he looks really down and out right now .. he is a good pitcher ..

No surprises here. Orioles went around and shopped for big bats in the offseason, and their mediocre pitching will FOR SURELY get them into playoffs this year, just like I predicted (see my 2005 MLB Predictions thread). No worse than a wildcard.

over here in the UK/Ireland I can only watch baseball on sunday nights. There's a show called Sunday Night Baseball. Last week was the Angels vs the Athletics and during the commercials (of the actual game) it would just be two guys bantering back and forth (think ESPN Sport~Centre, but as if it was down on a local cable channel by two guys in their house)

anyways they got on the topic of the name change and they kept reading emails from people in the UK who utterly despice the name. It was quite funny and the rest of the game, they kept making cracks about the name.

True story. This Sunday night is Mets v Nationals so i'm definitely looking forward to that.

I saw that the Orioles are trying to rip Todd Helton out of Colorado...if they get him..their lineup will be ridiculous..they will be like the angels when they one, monster hitting and adequate pitching
