So i was just looking at Ken rosenthals sporting news mlb awards picks.
a.l cy young: no go to guy yet...the leaders for it right now are Huston street and Mo rivera.(i think halladay would have won this if he had stayed healthy)
N.l. Cy Young: Clemens beating out Chris Carpenter
A.L. Mvp:Alex Rodriguez over manny Ramirez
N.L. Mvp- Pujols Over Derek Lee,with Andruw Jones getting consideration
N.l Rookie of the year:Jeff francuer of the Braves
a.l Rookie of the year: a close race between Huston street and Gustavo Chacin
a.l Manager of the year: Ozzie Guillen over Ken macha
N.L. manager of the year: Bobby Cox beating Phil Garner by a landslide
i have no problem with either of the manager of the year picks

agreed. i wish i had a baseball tv package instead of refreshing the scoreboard on ESPN.com all the time :( |
Why dont you watch it ON MLB.com? You can even watch a play-by-play live game info there FOR FREE! I do that! Next year I will probably get their live yearly package. |

screw the Wild Card...the Yanks just might win the Division. Either way, they ARE going to the playoffs this year.
Playing in pinstripes makes a difference. |

yeah, it's been shaky so far. But I think once they get into the playoffs, Moose, Unit and Leiter will settle down and pitch like the great aces they are. Especially RJ...I think he's going to have a crazy September. And Chacon is a huge surprise as well...Wright is ok too. Things are looking better now than they have all year.
Granted, I'd prefer to have Clemens, Cone and Petitte back in the rotation, but these Yankees have something going for them. Or maybe it's the joy of me going to Yankee Stadium last week for the first time ever and getting totally smashed for that 5-4 win in the 9th.:D |
