My most favoured friend Bas,
I must offer my most vehament apologies. Certainly, I intended no offence to you with my letter to Clovis and Slylee. You were not included in said letter because in my view it was the two of them that were being petty and peevish whereas you were acting in a responsible manner in attempting to create a more conciliatory atmosphere. My letter was one of complaint and when it was penned I had no cause for complaint regarding your actions, much as I never have.
Please, do not feel slighted by my last correspondance. I assure you my impression of you and your status as most favoured friend remain in tact.
