look at this picture of the Saguaro...weird. how do you spell it, Dave? I learned saguero. Okay, let's say Carnegiea gigantea.
"although such phenomena are rare, in its natural state, Carnegiea gigantea sometimes displays fasciation...perhaps because such fasciation is often only partial, the effect is exceptionally spectacular. In the case of this specimen, some damage to the apex probably gave rise to the unusual growth forms."
The blooms are beautiful:
but I think you have to wake up early to get good photos. I read somewhere that the flowers close by midday. |
Very nice!
What kind of camera do you have/use?
I have this awesome idea for a photo in an elevator with dramatic lighting and everything. The only problem is what to do with the camera!?!
The shot is based largely on the reflection of the mirrors within the elevator, but I want the camera to be out of view in order to pull off the shot...
It would take a two-way mirror I think to pull it off, but that's really not feasible. I'm stumped.
I also need a hot chick to model for me, but it would work with most any photogenic person. :D
On another note, I just got my braces off! I'm so happy@!!!!!!!!!
I went from this: :toothless
To this: :D |

Yeah, it is a bit odd, but recording the emixes is illegal...in fact recording anything off the radio is illegal, unless express permission has been given.
Course I'm basing this purely off what Tong's said in the past and not actual legal knowledge. He's said before that you shouldn't record it, not meant to record it, *wink wink* don't record this *nudge nudge* |

P.S. Echo, those pics were taken when the lighting was harsh, like around noon.
That's really the worst kind of outdoor light for most subjects unless you have a diffused cloudy sky, or you can also harness the unforgiving noonish light for artistic or creative purposes.
The best light, the most beautiful, full-bodied, dramtic light, is from one to two hours before sunrsie, to two hours after sunrise.
Or conversely, from two hours before sunset, to about 2 hours after sunset. Obviously after sunset the dynamics change, but you can still take some beautiful shots that way with a tripod and time exposure.
You should get a tripod too if you want to expand your capabilities beyond hand holding your shots.
I could give you some other tips, you only need ask me.

A sweepstakes ad begins May 17. In it, two teens at a summer job are caught making out in a storeroom. A Coke team in helicopters and CIA (news - web sites)-looking vehicles delivers an Equinox to the guy, who had his Coke can at his side while nuzzling his co-worker.
