Wow, for a bunch a people who wanted an Official California thread so we could outpost the Official Colorado thread (which has only 3 regulars), we're off to a pathetic start, eh? Butterfly will get us going, I'm sure! Come on guys. Say something. Do the a/s/l thing if that's all you can think of! Someone in here thinks I'm a guy but I don't remember who.
I went looking in the Europe forum and there is no Denmark but I do see a Dane post in Chillout sometimes.
Do you guys ever read Political Forum? The posters are all geniuses. Sometimes I post an opinion but then it looks soooooo unlike the other posts (full of quotes, links, facts, graphs), I just delete mine. |

lol @ montie, I've done that a lot of times before. Sucks that ya rushed, but once you realize you have an hour to anything ya want it is pretty cool.
Oh and I am in my first year of grad school at unlv, I am studying experimental psychology. I am gonna be setting up some research projects to study superstition, and of course some work on gambling. The way things are looking so far it looks like I could actually get out of here in 4 total years with a PhD. scarey.

i'm currently studying bio and music recording. i wanna get out and get into DJing, club promotion, producing doing whatever i can to enjoy myself and be involved and successful in the scene.
if that doesn't pan out (which it never does the way you want) i'll go to med school.
i wanna do something with pychiatry if i do go into medecine. |

oh i used to post a bit in the political forum and spend alot of time there.
too much bickering tho. it can get really annoying and also quite addicting. almost every arguement seems to lead back to the isreal and palestinian conflict :)
and just because the people post alot of references and links for info doesn't mean they are smart or geniouses just means that they spent the time to research their arguement. |

yeah I am torn between spinning and being a doc. It is so much fun djin in front of people with a huge system. Yet learning about the mind n such is also rewarding.
psychiatry is cool, you should get into forensic psych. If I could stand dead people I would definitly be in that field. |

ehhhh i dunno how much i would like studying dead people all day. would be kinda creepy and depressing. i'd like some interaction.
i'd like to do work on mind altering drugs and their effect on the brain and also how the brain controls people's emotions and actions. and stuff in that area.
but i would rather DJ and produce and throw parties. that would definatly be the life :)
so right now i'm studying/doing work to go into either field. so if one doesn't work out, i'll go for the other. but its a matter of putting up with all the ning chem and bio work here at school and trying to maintain good grades while also organizing parties meeting with promoters and djs and djing myself and so forth. i'm always so boged down with . |

I hear that. bio and chem are not easy classes. Especially when most promoter interaction/djin occurs late at night, doesn't leave too much sleep for ya if your classes are kinda early (i.e. before 2pm :))
and drug effects are cool to look at. Neuropsych guys look at that with all that brain imaging equipement. one odd piece of kinda drug research someone is doing here is the effects of estrogen on the brain. Supposively it promotes axonal growth. So when girls have high estrogren they think quicker and more efficient...supposively.
and for forensics I would definitly specialize in serial killers. So all teh work with dead people leads to one sicko :) quite satisfying. |

yeah you wanna go out and party at nite at these parties you get invited to but you have to stay home and study. or you have class the next day at 9. it sucks. oh well tho. c'est la vie
yeah that sounds cool. i'd like to research how different amounts of hormones in the body effect your brain chemestry. or how a person's diet effects levels of different chemicals in their body which effects brain chemestry and so forth. theres alot of stuff that interests me in that field.
studying serial killers would be quite interesting. i'd like to get into the mind of one and understand their emotions and what causes those and why those lead them to do such horrible things.
increased estrogen levels in women may make them think quicker and when you think quicker you tend to make cursory or stupid choices as is evident in female behavior :p :D |
