I was amazed that he didn't believe me (at first) when I said it wasn't Shpongle. I mean, I don't like bragging or anything like that, in fact I tend to stay away from people with overinflated egos. But I think I've got enough talent to make a decent tune. I know I've got the technical part down, it's just a matter of getting myself to do it. I don't claim to change the direction the music scene will take, but it sure as hell would be nice to maybe create a new genre or something like that.
Just something that's been going around in my head for a bit. I've got an idea for a new sound, just not quite sure how to do it yet. Maybe once I get something upgraded from sounding like a person utter to just plain ass, I'll post it. Plus me host died, but it was free, so can't really complain. |
interesting , id like to hear what your new sound is. I must admit, im not liking the new stuff either and ive actually found myself browsing my old CDs of late. Ive been really getting into some classic prog and trance from circa 1999-2001
I used to go out and buy anything with the word TRANCE on it
some cds were crap (webster hall dance compilation) and some were good (Global Underground CDs) but i was always looking for the same compilation of trance tunes like Ministry of Sound's Trance Nation and all the Gatecrasher albums
see now i realize that they all sound the same, and im going back and digging out the CDs i bought that i never really listened to, and im pretty amazed by the sound and stuff.. |

HI CHRISSI.
I just got back from Armin.....OMG I DIED SOOOO MANY TIMES....i die much.
he played all the goodies, except whiskers fav white room, and he didn't even play ATRC or burned with desire....strange since he has a new mix out of it...
anyways, the opening dj...judas, where do I begin....no flow, 5 trainwrecks, thats not counting minor ones, these are turn the volume down on one chan quickly...
ok now that the bad is out, he did have an echo problem I guess from what I saw....and he did play Junior Jack - Da Hype...I went nutzoo.
hehe, I also went to the IHOP with two girls I met there...I also talked to a ton o people there that I had no idea who they were....then I talked to SOLTRI, I think thats his nick on here...I see him at every Armin show :wtf:
anywho...bed time. I got a cook out to raid tomorrow. |

oh, I forgot to stipulate that it takes about 1.5 hours to setup/take down the stage, thats all the work I do.
$1400 a month for it....not too bad I guess. |

You had seen Armin before, right? Back in October or November? Was it 21+? Or 18+ for girls? They don't do 19+ in this country, do they? I think you already told me they don't do 18+ in Vegas.

So who exactly started the original PPR? Redeye? How can he criticize us for our thread if he started that one where the intent was obviously solely to boost post count? Maybe, he didn't criticize this thread? I can't remember who said what anymore. I totally didn't start this thread with the thought that it would be a post padding thread. I think it was more to get to know others who were part of the west coast forum and I dunno, build up a little comraderie? I didn't even know or understand post count stuff back then. Ha, if I had, I prolly wouldn't have accidentally deleted the original THIS FORUM SUCKS thread. :p

or...maybe just sit here and daydream. Gaze into the clouds. Wondering why.

well, i made a big post but my internet ate it, so blah
I used to love ASOT, now i don't as much. the last one i listened to was like 112... now i listened to 150 because finally i couldn't recognize any of the tracks in the tracklist
and so many people are trying to become famous, to make tracks... bleh
