heh, stereotype. but i think that's a very important quality in a person and now you're making me biased towards danes, aka liking them more :D in general, i am positive towards europeans.
|
Well, discount me from the bunch. I am totally atypical. I need to learn how to be less emotional...
you can turn off the avatars, sigs, and grafiks, Whiskers. Then the pages should load quicker. I'm not on the school's line right now and it's okay. |

go to your profile, then options, and at the bottom there right above your avatar you can turn "quick vblinks" off by unchecking the box
saves much bandwidth, you'll lose all the clickable smilies though and the clickable vb buttons, but pages will load much faster. that's what i do, and that's why i have to memorize smilie codes and then type them out :thepirate: |

Maybe, at least I'm learning, sometimes love isn't enough. If you love someone but you're not able to be what they need you to be or give what they need you to give or act the way they need you to act...what should you do?
Of course love isn't enough in these times anymore. We don't live in the movies. But if he's stating that he feels like an "" and asks for advice and mentioning that he is addicted to her as well as he just doesn't know what to do, I'm saying that he should figure out if he loves her enough to make a committment. And once he evaluates his true feelings, to make a final decision from there, because obviously if he is starting a thread and saying how madly in love she was and questions whether others would have done the same, he has doubts about his decision.
quote:
Diffusion doesn't want to get married. He's quite clear. He's not ready. "Can you imagine getting married when you're 20 years old?" He's incredulous at the thought.
I mentioned that if he wanted to stay with her he could get engaged and not get married until much later. The point is, if he loves her, and truly wants to work things out with her, he should stay with her, through the hardships. That does not entail marraige. It seems he made a rash decision. In order not avoid being labeled as "USED TRASH", the solution is dumping your girlfriend? Seems kind of harsh. Though there may be more to the story that we're not getting.
A true relationship is about the good and the bad. Being there for one another at all times and in all situations. It's truth, honesty, understanding, companionship, trust, committment. Without one of these, it fails. When you're in love, it doesn't matter what anyone else says, it matters what is in your heart, and that is the advice he should follow. What his heart says, not what others say.
quote:
I dunno, I respect him for doing what he thinks is best. That's all. I think if he loves her and he felt capable of making such a big commitment, he wouldn't have broken up with her.
Once you honestly make a decision that something is for the best, you would have no need of starting a thread that asks for opinions and advice.
Diffusion needs to figure out how he really felt about this girl, and if continuing on a relationship would make him happy or miserable. What her family or what other people label you as should not matter if you truly care about each other. |

theres nothing wrong with being emotional in that you show your emotions. its just about being smart or mature on how and when you express them.
besides why would you want to hide all your emotions? you'd be like a robot |
