So with about 10 days remaining I was wondering if you New Yorkers could help this little Detroit boy with the following thing.
For starters where is the goddamn after party Saturday. The official is pretty weak, Heartthrob is cool, but not worth $35.
Also my buddy and I are first timers. We're staying in the Bronx close to Yankee Stadium. What is the best way to get to NYC. I know there is a subway relatively close.
Any recommendations about the city. We're arriving early Friday to get a day of tourist-ey in. How about cool bars to check out on Friday. (Probably a very volatile conversation but...) where is the best place to grab some pizza.
I'm super excited, it looks like my home for saturday is going to be sunday school grove.
Any replies appreciated.
Thanks! |

Best recommendation - skip afterparties on Saturday, sleep, go to EZ early on Sunday, go to BPitch afters that night. |

The Bronx is in NYC. And the area near Yankee stadium isn't that nice of a place, just a heads up.
Friday afternoon you could always visit Birch Coffee on 5 E. 27th street in Manhattan. I think Big Mike (Mike Saint-Jules) from here will be DJing there from 4-7pm that day and they have beer/wine/drink specials.
I haven't been to many pizza joints, but my favorite right now is Patsy's (it's an NYC chain) where you can get a quality pizza for under $20. Portions are huge there.
Also if you like seafood and you're willing to spend some $$$, I always recommend Harbor Lights (South Street Seaport bottom of Manhattan)...the food is amazing and if you get a table out on the deck the view is ing sick:
