Also have seen some super major confusion about transportation to and from the Island (it was a while ago so perhaps you've worked it out).
However .. the x80 express bus which is your EZ wheeled transpo option of choice IS $3.25 and you can't use an unlimited metro card. It leaves regularly from 125th street after 9a

| What about the express buses from Queens. They had them last year. It seems to be just a waste of time to take the train into the city to get the express buz to EZ. When Randall's Island is just outside of Queens. |

well at least a final lineup is done. hopefully no more [last minute] changes.
honestly it would have been cool to see PvD in a smaller (tent) venue. but there's still plenty there i want to see; so i'm not too broken up over it.
on a side note, is there any news of a TA meetup again this year? was cool to see some new faces last year. would be great to see more again this year. :)
also, i can't quite remember when the final schedule was out last year...as to who was playing at what times at which tents/stages....i remember seeing it before hand (so i could plan) but can't remember when.... |

THe MTA makes a determination about other express buses based on a number of factors ... if/when more are added they will appear on the EZ main-site. |

I tried to do the MTA bus thing to Randal's Island once, I think it was for some hiphop festival. That 125th street line is gigantic and there's never any order to it which sucks because random heads just jump up on line. Ended up taking one of those 'uptown' cabs over to randal's island.

How different is EZ from EDC/LovEvoulution? (west coast massives)
From some peoples comments here, the festival culture on the east coast is very different from that on the west-SIDE.
Do people get 'dressed for the occasion' like they do out west?
Are there e-puddles scattered about?
Light shows being given?
PLUR in full-affect?
Everyone rolling in unity? |

East vs. West:
Going on majority, although there are always exceptions:
1. EDC is a massive, EZ is a festival. EDC has a huge singular groups with one stage, EZ has several stages.
2. LA peeps often look like they live in 1999 with their purple dreads, pacifiers, and super plur rave gear. EZ has a few of those, but most dress in 2010 non-raver gear. EZ peeps dress casual for day parties (sundress, jean skirts, shorts, tanks), dressier for night/afterparties (heels, dresses, more makeup).
3. EDC focuses on house and trance primarily, EZ has many different genres (with the main stage still being focused on house/trance).
4. EZ is on an island with a view of NYC and has CRAP VIP, EDC is in a stadium with decent VIP's.
5.From what I hear, EDC has more obvious drug use (always hear stories about all these people overdosing and laying in e-pools). YOu wont feel left out, there are plenty of people doing such things in NYC, just maybe not *quite* as obvious.
