+1. I'm not a fan of some of Paco's recent sets but he killed at Cielo. At he almost never played NYC until this past year, except some secret loft events of DOW 14,000 nyc.
Big DJs are going to play NYC. If they're going to cross over from Europe it makes sense to play NYC. Don't take it for granted. What NYC has pretty much never had was a large, outdoor EDM festival. If you want to see Paco or Aoki you have to go to a packed club at night and see just them and an opener. Cities like Toronto have 3+ major headline parties several times a year and they aren't bitching. |

well this electric zoo is not just a trance festival, its a blend of everything, i dont want to come off like a douche but maybe this festival isent for you then
i went last year wanting to hear some trance,house and techno
and i heard it all plus i saw other non-trance dj's who i really enjoyed
a few months ago there was asot 450 in nyc, did you go?
cause that was right up your ally and 2 amazing nights of trance
a few weeks after that was markus then simon & sean tyas and next week is m.i.k.e. and thrillseekers
so those events are all trance and dj's you should check out
as for a trance festival, you should just save your money by not purchaseing tix to ez and save up for trance energy or dancevalley or something along those lines

The one thing I will differentiate, though, is that both of those DJs play more diverse sets than anyone that you want to see. You could see them every other weekend, and you'd hardly hear the same track twice. That's more than I can say for half of the trance DJs. I used to be more into trance, but when I'd go to an AvB party, I knew more than half of the songs that he'd play in advance of the party. The only difference was the arrangement.

No it isn't a joke.
I was complaining that there weren't enough trance DJ's at EZ. I wasn't complaining that they booked NYC guys (that's just saying what's on the lineup).
Also why do people on the internet think others care how long they've been posting at a particular forum? I've seen this point brought up before on many other message boards (and the same clashes take place between others). Do you think it's a badge of honor for being here X amount of years? Who gives a ? |

Saying its overcrowded at ATB is not only reasonable and obvious(I think everyone who has been to his parties knows this), but I dont go around complaining about every DAMN thing written. You said that there were not enough overseas DJs on the bill. That is 100%, completely without truth. Most of the DJs on the bill are from Europe. Go look up all the people that you don't know. Stop responding without factual basis and spend an hour on google.
