Change it from what? What was it like last year?

From what I remember, they had one tent area next to the right side of the mainstage. It had a cash bar, bleachers, and bathrooms.

Do you remember how much extra it was to add on to your gen admiss ticket? were you able to meet dj's as well?

In passing, some DJ's hung out for a bit. The area where the interviews were being conducted and the broadcasting was going on was connected to the VIP area so you could look inside but they wouldn't actually let you in. Occasionally some DJ's came out for a few but mostly stayed back stage.

Dubstep is a horrible trend, hope there's not much of it. I'm still waiting on the techno too.

:(

There's some dubstep that I find myself enjoying quite a bit. The Burial - Untrue album is amazing, for one. I know fr0st is really into a lot of it, but I haven't been begging him for suggestions.

yup. The only DJ that actually stayed for more than a quick walk-through was Menno, but he always chills with people ;)

My opinion on VIP: DONT get it: waste of money!!

I had a few issues with VIP.

1. VIP was only at the mainstage. If you wanted to hear anything besides Guetta, Armin, Deadmau5, etc.....then it would be a total waste. (ie: if you are going for techno, DEFINITELY dont do it)

2. there were 4-5 bathrooms. They got soo nasty half way through the day because of higher traffic. And, the lines were long during the big names. Because they had a ton of GA toilets, it was easier to leave and come back (which, defeats one of the purposes of buying VIP for the "private" bathrooms).

3. Couldnt take alcohol out of the VIP. One of the advantages of having VIP is the option to buy liquor. However, if you want to leave the mainstage, you have to drink your drink first. If you are trying to enjoy music at another tent, you would have to continue to leave the music you desired at said tent, trek all the way to the mainstage, buy the drink, DRINK the drink (all while probably listening to music you didnt want to hear anyways), then trek back to your tent of choice. Of course, you would have to repeat this adventure everytime you wanted a drink. Not having a drink to enjoy leisurely while enjoying your music of choice is ANNOYING!!

4. Yes the VIP is near the DJ interviews, but most of them strolled through and didnt hang out for much longer than a picture or two (if at all!). Its kinda like the end of a night at a club. They stay, pose, say hi, then peace out. They all hung out backstage, which, VIP doesnt have access to.

The advantages of VIP:

Bleachers/seats to sit, and option to buy alcohol. I would say that it has more room, except for the fact that during Ferry last year I was getting mosh-pitted. It was just as packed at night for Ferry, as it was the day before for Armin in the GA.

I enjoy it. There is a big scene in MA/CT. Burial is great as well, too bad he is nowhere to be found now.
