Regardless of how good the lineup is or isn't, we're getting raped with ticket prices at the door (and in advance).

Wasn't UMF like $140 for 2day passes? And it had basically everyone EZ is having plus dozens more (I could be wrong, just briefly scanned last year's lineup).

at the end of the night's last year they had a free bus that takes you back to manhattan like 125th street in harlem
i beleive last year they also had ferry service but dont know the details
from there your on your own
tryin to get a cab outside of the festival is very hard because alot of cabs dont really go there because its on an island with very low population so they dont even waste their time
stick with the bus to manhattan

This, there was both ferry and free buses (they were not dealing with checking tix with the mass exodus). Drops off on 125th, I think. I'm sure details will be provided at a later date. They're not letting a festival full of people sitting on the island for 4 hours waiting for cabs to return.
acronym
My friends and I are just going to walk there during the day. My understanding is there's some kind of walking bridge on the south side of the island but that it closes come night time? Is it possible to walk along the other bridge after the event closes?

It was not free to take the bus there during the day. I believe it was something like $3.50 each way, but they urged people to load up your card with two so you could make it back. tthey didn't check tickets at all on the way back because there was like 6k people standing in lines for the buses after the festival.

^^none of this is correct. The MTA buses are $2.25 each way, but there were also free buses carrying people to 125th.

Thats just sad...

How far this group of people have come from their earlier years throwing $10 party's at arc....

Forcing people to purchase two $75 dollar tickets, most likely one of the two days people are going to want to spend time with their family at a get together/BBQ.
