And yeah I'm not planning on going either, unless the majority of the last ten names are trance acts.
The lineup is filled with too many no-namers this year:
A-Trak
Aeroplane
Claude VonStroke
Diplo
Dirty South
Erol Alkan
Flying Lotus
Jon Hopkins
Marco Corola
Martin Buttrich
Martyn
Mattias Tanzmann
Paul Kalkbrenner
Rusko
Steve Bug
Who the are these guys? I seriously haven't heard of any of those names above, and that's 25% of the lineup...
lol. Well, a lot of those guys are actually pretty huge. But, I can see why they would fly off the radar of people who aren't heavily into techno, for example.

Seriously? The guy has pretty much taken over dance music in just a few years...
Like him or not, hes got talent.

He's got a gimmick, that's what he has.
Gimmick ≠ talent.
All I've heard from him is the same tired sound from years ago... all his tracks sound the same. Pretty mediocre IMO if you can't push boundaries as an artist having the exposure he has, he's just riding the fame wave (which is fine, but it's just not greatness that he could achieve with his supposed talent).

I'm going to have to agree with Zack on this one. While yes, he's had the same sound for a while now, a lot of the houseier techno artists I'm hearing these days aren't very original either; just a lot of drum loop sampling, vocal stabs, and open basslines. You have to at least give Deadmau5 credit for consistently making records that are incredibly well produced (assuming he makes it all himself). I don't necessarily like his tracks either, but he's incredibly talented and makes music that a LOT of people like.
But, let's not turn this into a Deadmau5 rocks/sucks thread. EZ is going to be fun, and I am definitely planning on going. I've actually wanted to see Paul Kalkbrenner for a long time, as he supposedly puts on a really good live show

Deadmau5 played Dave Clarke's I Love Techno Party last year
I like to think Dave Clarke knows what talent is vs what gimmick is

he can still churn out a decent production but his dj-ing is a disgrace and his popularity with 17-22 year-olds is mind-boggling to a fogey like me.

back on topic. got my tix to EZ but i'm yawning at the largely-JV lineup thus far. made, come through.

The kid is a monster producer. You may think his sound is tired, fine. But it's HIS sound. That sound is most likely "tired" right now because so many damn producers have hopped on the "deadmau5 sound" bandwagon trying to emulate what he has done.
I am personally not a huge fan of his music, and a lot of what the kid has to say is pretty annoying. But his music is extremely well-produced, and very distinct sounding.
On the topic of all his tracks sounding the same...thats really not true at all. I would actually go as far as to say he is one of the most well-rounded producers out there in terms of his range...electro, progressive house, tech house, trance...he can do it all.
