This has been beat up already but it, Dirty South HAS to have shown up in more than a few big trance sets. He's got two major tracks with the SHM guys whom have also been requested all over this thread. Though, yes, he's probably not the full on trance DJ you're looking for, hardly a no name. Claude VonStroke - Who's afraid of Detroit has also been played by just about everyone, progressive to minimal. Steve Bug played last year also.

My $.02 on the line up.
It honestly is very diverse. There's quite a bit of trance in there too, PVD, ATB, A&B, Schulz, AVB, Emery, Kaskade.
I mean we're talking about a party that ranges from Glitch Mob to Aoki, Hawtin to Van Buuren. Each genre has some heavy hitters representing them.

Chus & Ceballos, while I don't care for their podcast, had a killer set at last years zoo and would like to see them added again. And since Guetta is gone let's get some Joachim Garraud.

Finally I'm curious if Hawtin will bring his new Plastikman live show.

The techno lineup is ridiculous, however I think I will pass this year... $133 is absurd and the hotels are super expensive. meh... guess i'm just used to DEMF prices.

the techno line-up, compared to last yr, is weaksauce!!!
AY STAR
i think another problem with this whole thing is that last year
everyone was just overwelmed by the amount of dj's that first got released
i remember when i first got the email and saw all those names i was like :eyes: :eyespop: cause its the first time in nyc that a hugeeee festival is happening and made just unleashed with alot of names

this year they started out in wmc with some pretty heavy headliners, so people were expecting the next set of dj's to be announced to be just as big, imo the lineup isent that bad last years was a lil better and this year can deff use a few more big names and atleast one more hugeee headliner dj (ferry, carl cox, lawler, prydz, ricardo, vath etc etc)

so yea i think made just went in a different direction this year on promoting this event and its just takeing some time for people to get used to, but come late aug/early september you know there will be a 15 page hype/roll call thread for this lol

Plus, they are good at putting like with like.

I bet with the Techno line-up that is there I will be very satisfied both days.

Most of the DJs who I always enjoy will be there. :)

If you aren't happy don't go.

I am sure if you have early bird tickets you will be able to sell them as it gets closer to the event.

Claes Rosen anyone?

All line-up's aside, I had a great time at this party last year. There is still no other party in NY where you are going to get this much talent all in one place so I am supporting the event regardless.

dirty south is a personal favorite of mine, go download his essential mix like now. it is and will be one of my favorites until the end of time.

i saw he was coming; and this has pretty much sealed my deal on going this year again. plus kaskade. i can only hope robbie rivera will be there again....

Plus, I'm sure there will be excellent parties around town all weekend, creating another reason to hang with friends and enjoy the music we all love.

true story.

all right, i'm pretty much set on going. now to buy tickets and find airfare. hotel is simple, as i have my normal hostel i stay at and it's like $55 a night in manhattan.

edit,

airfare booked....flying into EWR this time. 3rd time coming to NYC, and 3rd different airport. awesome. anyone know the best way to get to penn station in manhattan from EWR? pretty much figured it out on google; want to make sure i'm doing this right....NJTransit to the amtrak station, and then amtrak over to penn station, amiright? my hostel is like 1 mile from there, lexington & 37th.
