i rather hear 3 of the same songs separated through out the set rather than twice, in a row.

You do realize he mixes the two tracks together as "one track" and not playing the tracks back to back right?

Let's face it. Markus, Armin and PVD all play similar sets. The big difference is PVD stands there like a statue and brings absolutely no energy. IMO PVD doesn't really give a anymore....I don't blame him, he's been djing forever, but he's really fallen off in the last few years.

No it was not acapella or mash up, he was playing a song, and ed up he even mouthed the words "I'm sorry" he went from one song bam to the next in the middle on accident and just cut his lossed and let the new song play....

As for markus that remix - he's my fav dj but no, I didn't like that. I realize a lot of ppl do that I hate it. I could be listening to a ne song. With that said- pvd played the original Out of the sky 3 times- no remix all separate points in his set.

Again, like I said- ill give him a chance someday

would it be worth it to start a thread to get peoples brief breakdown or description of the type of sounds some of these djs' play- Im working my way through various sites trying to hear more and more of the DJ's (livesets) that will be on certain stages but just wondering - if that is just too much micro managing or too much to ask?

I don't listen to trance at all any more. Don't really know if PVD sucks now but he is the only trance dj I would have walk over to give a listen. Too many crazy good memories from Twilo and Roxy on PVD nights.

I wouldn't say I disapointed when he pulled out but I was planning to stop in. Oh well...

I think its a great idea! There's a lot of ppl on the roster that I might see if I knew what they were going to sound like!

I am looking at two hotels...one down in lower Manhattan on Wall street and the other in midtown. Of course the one in lower Manhattan is 400.00 cheaper.

Will I be spending a lot in taxi fares staying in lower Manhattan? So much that its worth spending the 400.00 more to stay in midtown?

Coming into town Thur morning leaving Mon evening.

Thanks in adv

Are you close to a subway in lower manhattan? You don't need to always Taxi it. I think total fare to EZ by train&bus is 5.50

eh have you seen markus lately man?
i'm not a big fan of armin and i've only caught him once this year - and yeah you're right about that. but markus doesn't play nearly as much vocals.
4 times i've seen him this year first was in vegas when admittedly, yeah, he played maybe one vocal track too many - but it was a short set so who's to say. i saw him spin in SF for maybe 5 and a half hours and he played a maximum of like 6 vocal tracks in that time period. probably fewer.
maybe over the past month or two he's been playing a bit more vocals, promoting the tracks on his artist album. but i don't think you can lump him in there with armin.

that being said - yeah i'm pretty excited for markus at EZ. since he's playing an earlier set prob - i'm hoping gareth plays right after him.
