I don't want to sound like an , but last year's lineup had a bunch of names that looked like to me that Made Event was just trying to fill the schedule up with anyone that would come and play.
This year's festival I thought they would drop some of those lower-level guys and go all out, similar to Ultra or other big festivals. Instead, they book even more of these kinds of guys... |
yeah you said it spot on. Do remember that they will be announcing more names. Unless you're really into minimal/techno, this is a very weak lineup especially considering the ticket prices.
I especially agree with the lack of trance. Very safe, conservative people on the lineup right now. Anjunabeats guys and some others like Aly & Fila and Myon & Shane54 are needed to round things out.
Also, SHM is a must. Dirty South is fine, but Angello and Ingrosso and/or Axwell are just common sense here.
Seriously though, do you guys think Guetta or Deadmau5 will be added??? |

No. They probably would have announced them already. And deadmau5 is more into touring by himself right now. |

| I wanna see some crazy names, like Leon Bolier or Timmy and Tommy haha, I think that would breath a little life into that line up. And +1 for Jerome, His set for Gareth's 100th literally blew me away. As for AnB, I'm not excited for them one bit... They sucked last fall, I have a feeling they wont be any different this time around. Theyre sets are literally the same stuff week to week, its crazy its so popular. Or is it? |

Last year they had 56 acts at the festival and they have already announced 46 for this year's event.
That means there's only 10 more names left to announce. |

| If they have the same setup as last years, The current lineup leaves room for ~8 more additions. Would love to see SHM and Menno, but I'm pretty excited already. Markus, Gareth, Dirty South, Kaskade, and Fedde got me really hyped! Less than an hour left. Jump on it! |

Why is it so difficult for trance/progressive acts to come over to America and play a show? Is there something I'm missing?
Aly & Fila have played in Toronto last month, and that's it. Has Mat Zo ever come to the US? Daniel Kandi? Jaytech? Jorn Van Deynhoven?
It seems like all my favorite producers and DJ's play shows in England, the Netherlands, and Poland only. It ing sucks. |

yeah, keep in mind these DJs must obtain a work visa in order to 'work' in the US. This is why when "Aly AND Fila" play in the US or Canada, only one of them is actually there. (btw they played in Chicago a week or two ago)
Myon & Shane54 have been playing all of the US for the past month or so...DC, Chicago, LA, SFO, Denver this weekend....
The only time I know of Jaytech playing in the US was at Anjunabeats night for WMC...
Daniel Kandi and Mat Zo have a date in the US in July, so I am holding out hope. It's unlikely, but hey, we can hope, right?
