Yeah, rubicon is quite good. can’t say I love too many of the characters or anything, but the plot is interesting. I enjoy the more thoughtful pace of the show, and it doesn’t treat the audience like an idiot.

Holy Louis CK's show Louie is dark. I had seen a couple eps before, but I'm watching all the rest now and it's really edgy. It sounds like they gave him total control to do whatever he wants, and I love it.

AMC’s epic ‘The Walking Dead’ trailer, premiere date
quote:
It's here. This is nearly the same four-minute-plus trailer for "The Walking Dead" that AMC screened for fans at Comic-Con last month.
Since then, I've been a relentless blogger zombie lumbering after AMC reps to bring this to Live Feed readers in its original full-length "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" glory. You can just feel producer-director Frank Darabont's style all over this, and fans of Robert Kirkman's original comic book are optimistic.
Also, some exclusive news -- "The Walking Dead" premiere date, which is pitch perfect.
The show will launch Sunday, October 31st. That's right, Halloween night. And the first episode will be supersized to 90 minutes. The series will premiere during AMC's Fearfest, the network's annual marathon of thriller and horror films. Fearfest is celebrating its 14th year by airing 14 consecutive days of themed programming.
Love zombies? Hate zombies? Don't matter. People are going to be talking about "The Walking Dead" and you need to watch this:
that looks good. thanks for sharing. definitely a show i'll have to check out.
my only gripe is this: I love mostly anything related to Zombies. I just have trouble watching Zombie flicks set in (what appear to be) recent times in which panic and fear stem not from "Holy !!! Zombies are real. It's ing happening!!!" but from "What the is going on?? The unknown scares the out of me..." I mean come on, that line "some kind of virus" is so trite at this point.

I'm liking the way they play to the gray areas of the characters. Will's immediate supervisor, most recently ("stick to the analysis side of things because I would hate to see you caught up in the mayhem.") seems conflicted and I can see them bringing him around to less of a "dark" force, later on - maybe even next episode - or even worse of an adversary, for that matter.
They've managed to do a lot of character development coincidentally with the plot-line, which I like. It's nice to have something relatively challenging to watch, where the first twenty minutes seems like it was really the first forty minutes, and I'm finding myself rewinding to analyze some twist of concept which is put forth in the dialogue in mere seconds. I tried to watch "Lie to Me", afterward, and it just wasn't the same.
Talk about a show which not only insults your intelligence but is a ing crushing disappointment. The first season of "Lie to Me" wasn't horrible as they developed the science behind it to be coherent enough the layman could follow, but this season they have stomped on my heart with some of the most cliche' plot-lines I have ever seen.

Yeah, definitely plenty of grey. At the start of the show I was sure will’s boss was one of the bad guys, but yeah, not so sure now, especially after the end of episode 5.

Yeah, I rewind stuff just to ensure I’m following exactly what they’re talking about. I like shows that require you to pay attention. Of course im back into getting high (woohoo!) so it might not be quite as complex as im thinking, haha. had to think of my fave CT fellas when the big black guy lost it and went nuts. Good times.

I’ve never really been a fan of the 6pm-9pm shows broadcast in Australia. they always choose gloss over substance. Mainstream nonsense more often than not. No edge, no social commentary, no damn spaceships!!
