its not something i recommend for everyone, but i love how dreary and miserable the whole thing is. almost the entire first 2 seasons are in the rain, and everything is grey and depressing. thought the grief as experienced and expressed by the family was pretty powerful, and the ultimate reveal knocked my socks off. of course, i was probably stoned through the whole thing haha.
certainly a cut above most tv drama. AMC might not be HBO, but they take a fair few risks imo. |

Totally agree with this and the acting / characters are quite amazing for TV.
The show got a lot of flack for not resolving the first series by the last episode but season two was just as good.
Three hasn't quite yet got the magic but you can see it bubbling under the surface and I think it will deliver.
If you like gritty (albeit dreary) suspense then this is really the best thing on TV right now. |

| I only watched the first season. The part I enjoyed the most about the show was the rainy, dreary atmosphere. I just didn't feel that the writing was all that gripping. Does it change much in season two? Not trying to knock it, just wondering if it's a match for my tastes. |

While I'm waiting for the new shows, I'm checking out some eps of Once Upon A Time to see if Once Upon A Time in Wonderland might be worth it or not.
I really think Fables does the whole thing way better, but hey, at least Once Upon A Time has Jennifer Morrison
Some of the special effects and acting are horrendous though. |

nah, I don’t think it changes much in season 2. I definitely think it’s worth watching to find out what happened, but if it wasn’t your thing after the first season then I’m not the second does anything differently. |

| Ha, that looks good. I actually loved his role in Curb Your Enthusiasm. He's one of those guys that you just always like, but you can't quite explain why. |

| I dunno some of his performances are kind of shakey. |

He's just likeable.
I gotta check out The Killing. Got a lot of things in it for me: I love Seattle, I love miserable gray things, I love AMC, and I love good murder mysteries.
AMC is definitely the best network that's not premium. I might even go so far as saying that it's better than Showtime, though not quite HBO. |
