| First ep of The Jeselnik Offensive was excellent. Psyched to hear that Amy Schumer's getting her own show too. Comedy Central does a great job of giving good comedians at least a chance with a show. It just sucks that Demetri Martin's Important Things got axed. |

Haha a roaster who gets their own show? Yeah, that'll work out :P
Just look at Whitney Cummings show. Even with that funny-ass delilah-guy, it sucked major dong. I think Amy Schumer will fade away pretty fast, she's not really funny imo, and her offensive bits are just.. not offensive.. and her delivery is awful.. At least Cummings could deliver a slap imo. Maybe if they drop the laugh track, i dunnoo... If it's another tosh.lame clone, or some sort of talk show.. she'll gonna have to show her vag to be seen in that proverbial sea.
I'll def check out The Jeselnik Offensive though, so thanks for recommending it! |

I watched the first episode of the Kroll Show and it was pretty terrible imo. Other than that Degrassi parody it was pretty meh.
Key & Peele is where it's at at the moment in terms of sketch comedy. I love how ridiculous the sketches get as they progress. |
Oh man I disagree. Or, I can agree that the pilot wasnt as good as the rest of the show, The Kroll Show is hilarious for the most part.
And I think Key & Peele balances a fine line between hacky/generic/obvious jokes and just not funny.
I mean, they have a lot of hilarious in the middle of those two outer points, but I wholeheartedly disagree on the statement that "that's where it's at". |

You realize the reason he was put on the roasts was to get him exposure because they were planning on giving him his own show, right? Same with Amy Schumer. I think she's great. Her special Mostly Sex Stuff was quality imo. I think those two are ing btw. The only reason Whitney got a show was her looks. She's not that funny in my book. Plus it was a sitcom, which can kill any talent. Look at Kevin James. His Sweat the Small stuff special was great, but King of Queens is watered down and too boring. I'm glad it's working for him though (I think it's still on?), because he is hilarious and deserves to make some money. |

Anyone see Black Mirror? Watched all three eps released so far. I like gritty and dirty, but the 1st ep made me a bit squeamish. |
I mentioned it earlier on the previous page :)
Season 2 started two weeks ago, so already two eps from it out. Episode 2 was insane. |

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but I finally started House of Cards on Netflix.
Only one episode in, but I love it already. |

Anyone who likes House of Cards should really check out Boss. I think they'd enjoy it.

Might be, and it also might be because his humor is peeeerfect in a roast setting. He's killed every time I've seen him. But being given a spot on a Deus is much more than regular old exposure. This is where the comics go to laugh at other comics, and I get that Comedy Central has parted ways with The Friars Club, and while the show they now produce is raunchier in subject, that is just as much a sign of a changing time, plus don't forget that while the televised/taped stuff from TFC was a lot cleaner, there was a loot that ended up on the editing floor.
And I watched the Jeselnik xPerienzz or what it was called....
And it was pretty funny. But I thought Amy Schumer managed to screw up every joke, even those set up by others, by her absolute need to try to "act" the jokes. Stop trying to look like a stupid girl after telling a joke, your face does a perfect job at that by itself, so you doing it double just makes that bunny raped by a mouse with pigtails-face look even more ridiculous. And I say raped, because there is no way something that retarded looking came from anything consensual. :toothless
Plus you know, sheeee's not that funny. There are plenty of other women that are though, so my dislike of her is def. not coming from that sort of place. :p
I agree on the K-Jay call though. While his show was widely successful, it played for too many years, and they should have left it off the first time Carrie got fat. I mean, that'd been the perfect ending. I do however like some of the films he's been in after that show, and it's hard seeing him getting those roles without that show, but yah, the writing could have been better, but I dunno.. Jerry Stiller was pretty hilarious at times in that show, though. :p
Oh, and before you come going "omg what movies, do u mean mallcops?", no that's not the one I meant..:p Can't remember the title though, but there was this one flick where he and Ray Romano were door to door meat salesmen. It was pretty funny. Not like, brilliant or anything, no like deeper things to analyze, but it had a lot of funny banter and some shooting too If I remember correctly. Also there was a brilliant mustache in it somewhere. |

Is anyone enjoying The Following? I've enjoyed the first few episodes and the latest one was a step above the rest. I think I'm hooked.
This and Black Mirror will keep me entertained until Game of Thrones starts again in a few weeks, anyway. |

Yeah, I think we discussed it a few pages back, and kinda agreed it was semi-silly and trying to hard buuuuut we were still giving it a shot, is what I think the consensus was. I've only seen the first episode, and meh.. I dunno.. Not really what I usually watch, but that Bacon-feller makes me think it can be watchable.
I'm just kinda waiting to hear if it's a Kevin Bacon who's taken the job because it's a good show, and not that it's a crappy show that's trying to lure in viewers by waving Kevin Bacon infront of the viewers. |

Yeah, I agree with that, it's definitely trying too hard. It's good for entertainment value, though.
The Baconator is quite good in it, but regardless of why he's taken the job, the fact that he's in it has certainly given it a lot of attention. |

| I really enjoyed the first episode, but the rest haven’t really held my interest. |
