| ik heb geen platen nodig, maar een vriend van mij heeft een zeer goeie progplaat gemaakt, en zou die graag gereleased gezien. daarom hebk gewoon een lijstje nodig van goeie proglabels:) |

ik krijg al jaren uitdrukkelijk verbod om ook maar iets naar iemand door te sturen, sorry:o
maar labeleigenaars (oa zzino en ortin cam - technopeople) hebben de track al gehoord en zijn er wild van. alleen kunnen ze hem moeilijk op hun technolabels uitbrengen:) |

Dousk - D.I.Y. As one of the most accoladed musicians on the international dance scene, Yiannis Douskos has been one of several Greek producers leading the way from their homeland and into the world's clubs. With a string of well received remixes to his credit, and EPs for Bedrock and Vapour Recordings under his belt, he has finally completed his much anticipated debut artist album 'D.I.Y.'.
Featuring 14 new and unreleased tracks, the album covers a wide range of styles. From downtempo, to pumping breakbeat, taking in progressive house and trance along it's path, each track has the usual stellar production quality you would expect from Dousk, and the overall result is a multi layered album that can be appreciated on a pair of headphones as well as pounding through a big sound system. From the superb opening track 'All About You', to the dramatic grandeur of 'Florence' the album is a melting pot ideas and deep soundscapes, with 'Chrysalis' one of the album's driving dancefloor moments sitting perfectly alongside the trip hop vibes of 'Feign'. The latter section of the album sees Dousk experiment with downtempo with 'Dongle' and 'Falling People' bringing the album to an end on a melancholic and poigniant note.
All this provides the foundation that 'D.I.Y.' is an album that in time could become one of greatest of it's era, but whatever happens, it shows the complete Dousk, a man that whilst being considered as a "great talent", will hopefully become known as a credited creator. Time will tell if he achieves this, but as this album will show, Dousk will do it by himself.

Dousk is zeker iemand om in het oog te houden,
enige minpunt van een overgroot aantal van zn totnutoe uitgebrachte songs : duur van de liedjes
geregeld boven de 10min, zelfs soms 12min, en maar n paar minuten echt melodisch, waardoor ze soms ietwat saai kunnen worden
aan de andere kant zijn ze wel fijn om te mixen
toch ns benieuwd naar zijn album |

Maar de tracks op het album zijn allemaal redelijk kort (4 tot 8 minuten), dus ik denk niet dat het saai zal worden. :)
En ik hoop ook op vinylsamplers met extended versions van de beste tracks :D |
